Bring water and food. Family-friendly hiking trails can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours, but many of them can also cross other trails you choose to try. This can add a few more hours to the day.

Dress for spring, but be prepared for summer and fall as well. Of course, this depends on the time of year you’re traveling and the part of the island you’re exploring. But don’t forget a warm sweater, a bathing suit and closed and comfortable shoes.

Plan for frequent stops. Walking in a new environment can be tiring for young children. Everything is different from home, you have to touch and try everything. And that’s just normal. Be prepared to stop every now and then for a snack and a drink so the little explorers can catch their breath and continue their adventure.

Rent a MiniMeis baby carrier. To make both you and the child comfortable, you need a special carrier. The MiniMeis baby carrier is intended for children from 6 months to 4 years. Time Magazine named it one of the best inventions of 2019.

Parental Comfort & Hiking

Parental comfort is ensured by placing the child on a specially designed seat that is placed over the shoulders and reduces direct pressure on the neck and shoulders. The weight of the child is evenly distributed on the straps, so walking with the carrier is much more comfortable and easier.

In Tenerife, this carrier is the perfect choice for hiking, beach walks or city walks.

During the examination, the child will be safely seated on the shoulders and secured with a seat belt and leg straps. A waist belt with shoulder straps is included to provide additional upper body support for toddlers (6-10 months).

The shoulder mount is tested and approved according to European and US standards. This is maximum comfort for the child and parents. Try it out!
