Poema del Mar Aquarium

It is said to be one of the most impressive aquariums in Europe. Poema del Mar Aquarium, located next to the cruise port and just a short walk from Las Canteras town beach, is divided into three different areas: shallow marine ecosystems, deep marine ecosystems and freshwater species. Poema del Mar also boasts the largest curved aquarium ever built, the tunnel, which weighs more than 140 tons, is 36 meters long and 7 meters high.

Crocodile Park

This is an animal shelter and definitely not a zoo. The park accepts many animals that have been stolen, found by conservation services or simply abandoned by their owners. Yes, animals are sheltered here, which people who bought only later realize that the care of peculiar and exotic animals requires more than traditional pets. Therefore, visiting this park helps to sustain the shelter and keep these animals.
It is a small cozy park, we spent a couple of hours visiting it, which was enough to see not only the animals, but also their feeding.

Palmitas Park

This one is an analog of the Jungle Park in Tenerife. A large amphitheater overlooking a pool where dolphins demonstrate their agility. Parrot shows, as well as raptor and other exotic bird shows – as in other parks, the shows are included in the price of admission.

Prices:free for children under 2 years old, MINI children (3-4 years old) – 12 eur, children from 5 years old – 24 eur, adults (from 11 years old) – 33 eur.

Aqualand Maspalomas

Water park in the south of the island is called Maspalomas.

Enjoy a fun day for the whole family at Aqualand Maspalomas, Gran Canaria’s largest water park. More than 40 different coasters. Both adults and children can skate down the water park’s craziest slide, the Anaconda, or challenge each other by racing down the multi-lane slides. There are more than enough water activities here to last a whole day.

Sunbeds, umbrellas, lockers and express passes are available in the park for an additional fee. Food and beverages are also available for purchase.

Lago Taurito Water Park

Spend time with family or friends in Gran Canaria’s only salt water park. Exciting water attractions and “Kamikadze” attractions will cause a burst of adrenaline. Test your courage on the high-speed tracks, the space bowl or enjoy the free fall from the smallest to the largest.

Watch your kids play on the kiddie slides, giant water bucket and pirate ship.

There are also other activity areas in the park: tennis courts, soccer fields, mini golf course.
