Siaurukas Museum

As if shrouded in legends – Anykščiai narrow attracts visitors more than once or twice. A wooden narrow-gauge station, trains lined up and waiting for trips, a hand train – that’s what you see as soon as you arrive at the facility. And then it only gets more interesting.

At the Siaurukas station, the waiting room and the office of the station master have been restored. The station master’s apartment is on the second floor. As the narrow museum guide jokes, “the boss was never late for work.” The charm of this object is contributed by the guide who works here, Raimondas, who is a true ambassador of the island, who knows countless stories and knows how to convey them so well.

Vilanda mentions that the stories do not make a big impression on younger children, but the museum exhibits have interesting objects for the youngest ones as well. You will be surprised by an old phone that does not have a keyboard, and you have to turn the dial to dial a number. A big scale that weighs us all together. A hand-held trainer standing on rails that will roll you to the exposure.
