This hotel with a water park in Mikolajki is a much-loved destination of Agne, one of the co-founders of “Travel 4 kids®”, and her family, both in summer and winter. Agne says that this hotel is the closest place to Lithuania, reminiscent of all-inclusive packages in Turkey or Egypt. Because it offers maximum entertainment packages for children.

The Golebiewski Hotel and Water Park in Mikolajki is a huge complex. This hotel is particularly popular with the Polish people themselves, who come here for holidays and relaxation. In Poland, this hotel with a water park in Mikolaikos is considered prestigious and really popular. It is often almost always full in summer. By the way, we highly recommend that you try a relaxing in Poland too – in this article you’ll find all our recommendations on where to go, what to see and what to do in Poland with children. And if you want to plan a whole holiday in Poland by the lakes, read our article Holidays in Poland near the lakes.

A night’s stay at this hotel costs around €200-300 per night, depending on the season and days of the week. However, this price also includes unlimited visits to the water park and breakfast, lunch and sometimes dinner, depending on the package you choose. There is even a separate restaurant for children during the summer with children’s meals. By the way, children under 4 years stay free of charge. The hotel also offers various packages (with spa, children’s activities, full board).

The Polish people themselves treat this hotel as a luxury hotel. The women often go to the restaurant in the evening in dresses and high heels. The hotel reflects a solid/glamorous style.

Water park at the hotel

Although the water park is quite old and not very big, we still enjoyed our visit. It’s free and unlimited for hotel guests. It’s a lot of fun in the summer time, there are plenty of pools and a playground outside, so you can spend the whole day. Especially in the summer, this water park looks like you are in a hotel in Turkey.

There is an outdoor bar, which is only open during the summer season – if you are a guest of the hotel, you can order on your room bill.

Very nice children’s pool inside with slides and activities for younger children. Although the hotel price is not low, if you want to visit the water park for a longer period of time, especially in the summer in the outdoor area, then it is definitely worth it. As a non-guest of the hotel, a single visit to the water park is only 1.5 hours, and then you have to buy an extra 30 minutes.

Entertainment in the hotel

The hotel has a beautiful private beach on a lake. It’s especially fun in summer, as the beach is large and suitable for children. There are also paddle boats for rent. There are also recreational boating trips.

There is a fantastic playground for children outside. However, the indoor playground is a space in the true sense of the word. It’s so big that there seems to be a separate playroom. There is a horse stable next to the hotel and you can go horse or pony riding.

There is also a bowling alley and slot machines. Outside, there is a summer sleigh ride, which is sure to give an adrenaline rush to children and adults alike.

There is also a ski slope and ski lifts near the hotel. So it’s the perfect destination if you want to ski and relax.

Travelling in Poland with a baby

We get a lot of questions about how to travel with a baby that we have already started potty training. What do we do when it’s time for Paulė to eat. The answer is very simple. We travel with PONN purees. We are very happy that when Paulė started to feed, we made friends with the organic PONN purees, which were perfect for Paulė and she loved them.

When we can’t offer home-made food, organic PONN purees come to the rescue. Motiejus grew up with these purees and snacks, and now Paulė is enjoying them too.

How to save in Poland

To save money when travelling and vacationing in Poland, use your myTU payment card like we do, because:

  • We can withdraw up to €200 without exchange fees, and withdrawing local currency at an ATM is cheaper than exchanging euros at an exchange office.
  • We always choose to “pay in local currency” when paying abroad. When we are asked whether we want to pay in euros or in local currency when withdrawing cash or paying by card, we always choose to pay in local currency to avoid additional currency conversion fees!
  • There are no additional fees for paying by myTU card if you pay in a currency other than euro (as is common with other traditional banks). Standard exchange rates apply for card payments outside the euro.
