The newest and funnest discovery with our children is the Holiday world amusement park in Gran Canaria. This time, trips with children to Gran Canaria were dedicated to this park.

Holiday world Maspalomas

Holiday world amusement park in Gran Canaria is a magical place full of fun. The Holiday World opened its doors more than 20 years ago and still remains the most popular and only toku park in the Canary Islands for fun, entertainment and attractions. With an area of more than 11,000 square meters, you will find an amusement park with more than 30 attractions, a street food market (food court), escape rooms, karaoke rooms, bowling, pool, billiards, sports bar, amusement hall, gym.

Amusement Park Holiday world Maspalomas

The biggest amusement park in Gran Canaria! It is the only amusement park of its kind in the Canary Islands, with more than thirty indoor and outdoor attractions. Get your adrenaline pumping on roller coasters, experience free fall, explore Maspalomas (you can even see the beautiful dunes of Maspalomas) both during the day and in the dark from the top of the observation wheel, take a water boat ride or race with family or friends in cars (there are two types of cars – intended for young and older children and adults).

Coming with children younger children? The Children’s Park awaits you with ten different play areas and attractions and a ball and trampoline area.
Both of our kids played water boats and cars over and over, dad and Oscar enjoyed the roller coaster, and Greta and I organized a photo session on the beautiful two-story carousel and Ferris wheel.

Our Advice

  1. Book tickets in advance. You will save time because there are queues at the cash registers.
  2. You pay for the entrance – the attractions are included in the price. You can repeat the ones you like as much as your heart desires – you don’t need to pay extra. The time of your stay is also not limited.
  3. Check the height and age restrictions – for this, there are already height rulers at the cash registers. This way, you won’t waste time standing in line at an attraction that your child might not be able to ride/use. By the way, you have to pay for the entrance from the height of 90 cm.
  4. Go to this park while it’s still light, but be sure to wait until dark. During the day, the attractions are less crowded and there is practically no need to stand in lines. However, the park is particularly beautiful in the evening – lit up with lamps and spectacular lighting.
  5. Take both water and snacks for the children – they will definitely come in handy during breaks, although ours only remembered about food when they were really hungry.
  6. Check the opening hours.
  7. Park in the park’s underground parking lot – the first 4 hours are free for park visitors.
