The best Polish water parks closest to Lithuania

Suwałki Water Park

The closest water park to Lithuania. This water park is one of the most fun attractions in Suwałki. The Suwałki Water Park is ideal for those with younger children. Children are allowed to slide down all slides and there are no height restrictions. The shallow slides into the water are perfectly adapted. For adults, there are several saunas and jacuzzis. We visit very often. Very friendly and low prices. The water park is not very impressive, but really fun.

Suwałki with children has more fun activities besides the water park. You can also do some great shopping in Suwałki, which is where our guide to shops in Suwałki comes in handy.

Tropicana Water Park

The water park is very popular with Lithuanians and is located in the small town of Mikolajki in the Golebiewski Hotel. This hotel with a water park in Mikolajki is one of our favourites and we can recommend it to everyone. Guests of the hotel are free of charge. Very fun in the summer time, there are plenty of outdoor pools and a playground, so you can spend the whole day there. They have an outdoor bar, if you are a guest of the hotel you can pay on your room bill, if you are only visiting the water park you will need to pay with cash or card. The water park provides towels, even if you are not a hotel guest, so you do not need your own. Very nice children’s pool inside with slides and activities for younger children.

The water park is not new or very modern, not comparable to the biggest water parks, but for weekend activities with children it is perfect. We really like it in summer because there are lots of outdoor pools and activities for children. For us, this water park reminds us of Turkish resorts in summer.

The largest and most spectacular water parks in Poland

Suntago

It is Europe’s largest water park, with a size of around 70 000 square metres and a daily capacity of around 15 000 people. With an air temperature of around 32 degrees and 740 palm trees flown in from Malaysia, Florida and Costa Rica, you’ll have a great time at this water park. The park is divided into three distinct areas. “Relax Suntago, Jamango and Saunaria Suntago.

Although there are plenty of cafés and restaurants in the park, you may have to wait for more than an hour if there are more people. The choice of food is wide, ranging from pizzas to Asian food and ice cream. Prices are really friendly. There are a few cafés where mums can have a glass of wine or a cocktail. We recommend you bring drinks or snacks with you, you can have a picnic outside in the summer and inside in the winter. You can bring food and drinks freely into the park.

Suntago water park – tips and recommendations

Buy your tickets in advance, as the queues are double or triple as short to get into the park if you already have tickets. You are also 100% guaranteed to get into the park if you have a ticket, as numbers were limited during the covid pandemic. Tickets can be purchased on the park’s website.

Ticket prices for smaller children are based on height up to 90 cm, and up to 120 cm. Although most of the slides are designed for children from 120 cm upwards, it is up to the person in charge of the slide to decide whether or not to allow a child to go down it.

There is also a shop just before you enter the park, in case you forget your swimming ring, flip-flops, shampoo or other swimming equipment.

We recommend that you spend the whole day in the park, as there are plenty of activities. A four-hour ticket is definitely not enough, as you won’t be able to try even a small part of the activities. A two-hour ticket is not even worth considering!

The park is located just outside Warsaw. 6-7 hours by car from Vilnius. Although there are hostels near the park, the prices are high. We recommend staying in Warsaw and visiting the many fun places to visit in the Polish capital.

Energylandia Water Park

Poland’s largest amusement park also has the largest outdoor water park. The water park is very large, with plenty of sunbeds, sand or tiles, and closer to the children’s pools and slides. We really liked that there are very tidy changing rooms and indoor showers, hairdryers by the showers. You can definitely have a normal shower after the water park and dry your hair. There is a lot of staff who take care of cleanliness and order.

The staff at all the slides measure the height of the children and certainly do not make any exceptions, so if you do not have the required height you will not be allowed to slide. There are a lot of lifeguards on duty everywhere and they really keep things tidy. If someone jumps, they discipline them and watch them.

Energylandia Water Park – 4 main areas and 7 pools

The Big Milk area has three heated pools and a very large toddler area with a water playground and shallow pool. Tropical Fun is an area with slides, some of them extreme. There are 14 slides in total. The number 1 attraction in Tropical Fun is the RMF MAXXX Kamikaze. This extreme slide has a moving floor which, when it opens, drops you straight into the slide and down from a height of 15.5 m at speeds of up to 54 km/h, completing a 90 m long track.

The Exotic Island area consists of two giant heated pools. Our kids loved The Funky Monkey water playground with lots of fun activities and slides. Bamboo Bay is the newest area of the water park with 16 slides. It’s a very cool place and we spent a lot of time there. It is the furthest away from all the other attractions, so it is the least crowded of all the other areas of the water park.

We highly recommend that you buy your tickets in advance through a reliable and tested booking system.

See the Energylandia Park with children article for a detailed overview of the whole park with our recommendations.

Reda Waterpark

This is one of the most fun water parks and one of the places you must visit if you are on holiday on the Polish seaside, as the park is located very close to Gdynia. It has the only rotating water slide in Poland. The water park also has a water ride where you swim through a shark aquarium.

Nemo Water Park

The park is located near the city of Katowice. It is particularly suitable for summer visits and has a number of outdoor pools and attractions. We visited it when we were on holiday and visiting Krakow with our children. The big advantage of Polish water parks is that during the summer, they have large pools and outdoor activities, which is something I miss very much in Lithuanian pools.

Warszawianka Water Park

Located in a hotel and entertainment complex near Warsaw. Not very big, but highly appreciated by tourists and locals. We strongly recommend a visit, especially if your destination is Warsaw with children.

Krakow Water Park

An excellent water park that is a must-visit if you are travelling in southern Poland. For more information on what to do in Krakow, where to go and what to see, see the articles “Exploring Krakow with children by train” and “Krakow with children: exploring the energylandia Park and Zoo”
