The Alpacas of Vokė

The alpacas of Vokė – it’s fun to share with you our experience, joy and pleasant therapy provided by our beautiful ALPACAS, who live in the very city of Vilnius.

The owner of the alpaca farm says:

“They have been living in our house since October 2020, Gracija and her daughter Sileta arrived first, and Primerita and Karmensita, who are responsible for breeding alpacas, joined a month later.

After seeing Primerita’s beautiful and mottled face, the idea of ​​raising alpacas at home grew deeper and deeper.

The primary desire is beauty, therapy and a lawn that doesn’t need to be mowed so often. However, 4 alpacas turned out to be small and the desire for more diverse colors prompted the purchase of two more white alpacas – in May 2021, mother Jonė and her daughter Spirga arrived at our house.

A nice company quickly rewarded us with a wonderful wool, which I realized after touching it that I couldn’t resist knitting with it. And so began my first knitting for babies and toddlers.

Of course, the first knits went to my children – 3 boys, who chose the colors of the alpacas they liked and knitted hats and scarves.

I started knitting in the winter evenings and that’s how the idea of ​​a small e-shop was born, where I would sell warm, cute and most importantly handmade items made of 100% Alpaca wool. Try to touch alpaca wool, yarn or knitwear and you will understand how good, soft, and warm it is.

Alpaca wool is unique in its structure, does not have a specific smell like sheep, is non-energizing and is 6 times warmer than sheep wool. Due to the structure of alpaca wool, you will always be warm in the cold, and in the sun, you will never sweat – the skin will breathe.”

The Alpacas of Vokė – Visit

The Alpacas of Vokė invites everyone who wants to meet alpacas, feed them, admire them and observe their natural behavior. Communicating with alpacas gives you good energy, optimism and guarantees a smile on your face. It is a great entertainment for family, children and friends.

Hen and stag parties are welcome, which minimize their moments with beautiful “ladies”.

In a gazebo on the bank of the river, we will tell you about alpacas, their origin, benefits, etc., and get acquainted with the basic feeding rules.

You can get to know each of our alpacas, which all have their own character.

Price: €7 per person, children under 2 years free. Food is included in the price.

Education for groups of children

Education for children’s groups is also conducted – an ALPACA VISIT in Vilnius is possible.

PROGRAM:

1. In the gazebo on the river bank, we will tell you about alpacas, their origin, benefits, etc.
2. We will provide you with a live experience of wool, yarn, knitwear and other products made of wool.
3. We will answer important questions about alpacas.
4. We will get to know the general rules for feeding alpacas.
5. We will go to the alpacas to meet and feed them, hang out with them.
6. A picnic in the gazebo by the river is possible after education with alpacas (according to the children’s wishes and capabilities).
7. Farewell.
