The Homestead Wolf’s Song (Vilko daina) – currently five Siberian Huskies live here, two of them with very bad stories, rescued shelters, who have been rehabilitated and are living the life of their dreams. Also a Samoyed and two griffons. Two elderly owls who cannot live in freedom, so they were looking for a home. And also a cat, a mouse and a cockroach. Landlords say: “Someone moves in and someone moves out…”

The Homestead Wolf’s Song (Vilko daina) – birthdays

The birthday always begins with getting to know the puppies and discussing appropriate behavior. Then it’s off to a walk, during which the participants test the equipment for running with dogs. After returning and getting stronger, they continue their adventures according to a pre-selected program (looking for treasure, playing Indians, completing tasks prepared by the forester or traveling through the night forest). Finally, they play active contact games with the puppies and all sing a wolf greeting together.

The program lasts about 2 hours, and the company’s total stay at the homestead is 3 hours. In the warm season, we offer dining and birthday cake in a gazebo with a capacity of about 20 people, and in the cold season, in a tipi-style tent with a fire pit of similar capacity. If desired, it is possible to cook meals in the barbecue or on the fire pit outside.

Birthday programs

• Treasure hunter is an active program. Recommended for ages 6 to 99. Using a compass, map, directions, participants search for a hidden treasure. You will have to climb trees, dig underground, count steps and perform other fun treasure hunter activities. After discovering the treasure, all participants receive a small birthday present.
• The young commander is a less active, but very colorful program. Recommended for younger participants. During it, it will become clear which animal-totem protects the young leader and his guests, a feather ornament will be made, faces will be painted, archery will be learned and hunting in the forest will be done.
• Night Birthday is recommended for older adventurers. The right time is October-April, when darkness comes earlier.
• Forester’s birthday consists of fun physical tasks for active children: creating a mask, climbing a tree, walking in the forest, sack battle and the like.

Education

This is a one-time session where we will learn not only how to communicate with dogs, but also sports, getting to know each other, understanding differences, seeing similarities, responsibilities, teamwork and many other things. We will discuss safe and appropriate behavior with animals, the similarities and differences between humans and dogs, and the peculiarities of dog body language. Why dogs sometimes bite people and how to prevent it. We will tell, ask, discuss. In between, we will play team contact games with dogs. The nature of the activity is suitable for children and teenagers of any age. We play a bit more with the younger ones, and talk more with the older ones. Four-legged specially trained models will allow children to test their knowledge in real life.

For preschoolers and first-graders, we offer to include an episode of reading to a dog. Each child reads a text brought by us or prepared by the teacher, we tell about the benefits of reading to a dog in forming a positive attitude of the child towards reading.

For adults, we offer the opportunity to personalize the session, adapt it to a separate class, if the children have already heard the basics of safe behavior. Then you can talk about the purpose of breeds and the variability of their purpose, human responsibility, the importance of a healthy lifestyle, sports, nutrition, education, and many other issues that are relevant at the time, but you need to agree on this in advance.

The duration of the class is 45 minutes or 30 minutes for kindergarteners. We travel all over Lithuania.

Other educations:

• Reading to a dog – suitable for readers of all ages – from combining letters into words during the process game to learning the pronunciation of a foreign language or preparing for a language test.
• Class graduation – the program lasts about 2 hours, depending on the number of participants. The total time for your company to hang out, chat, and for the children to play on their own is 3 hours.
• Christmas program – upon arrival of all participants, we introduce the dogs: four Siberian huskies and two tiny griffons. We go on a 2 km hike; during it, children test the equipment for running with dogs – cables with shock absorbers, belts. Upon their return, Santa Claus welcomes them and invites them to a large tent with a bonfire inside for a workshop. After the workshop, tea is served in the tent, you can have snacks, even to warm them up quickly, to cook on the fire (sausages, marshmallows, apples, etc.). After the meal, there are contact games with dogs, exercise type, with elements of training. Duration 2 hours.
