Shopping in Warsaw: stores and outlets – this is our prepared guide about the best shopping centers and outlets in the capital of Poland. In this article, you will find all the detailed information on where it is best to shop, where the biggest discounts are, and also learn which stores are worth visiting and which ones are not available in Lithuania.
Shopping in Warsaw: stores and outlets
Warsaw is a true paradise of stores and shopping centers. About twenty years ago, when there were very few stores in Lithuania, we used to go shopping with our parents to Warsaw. Even now, there are still many shopping centers here. However, shopping in Poland is cheaper than in Lithuania. Even if the stores and products are the same as in Lithuania, everything in Poland is a bit cheaper. Although the difference is sometimes small, buying more items can lead to a significant amount saved. Shopping in Warsaw: stores and outlets – this is an article based on our personal experience.
By the way, if you don’t want to go to Warsaw, you can easily shop closer to Lithuania – in Augustów or Suwałki.
Shopping in Warsaw: stores and outlets. What is important to know when planning shopping in Poland
In Poland, since 2018, a law has been in effect restricting Sunday trading. According to this law, most stores are closed on Sundays, with certain exceptions. These include gas stations, pharmacies, flower shops, and small stores operated by the owners or small shops like Zabka. By the way, this law does not apply to stores in airports and train stations.
So, if you’re planning a weekend trip to Poland and intend to shop on Sunday, unfortunately, you’ll be disappointed. In 2025, stores in Poland will be open only on eight Sundays. For when you can normally shop in Poland, read – Shopping weekends in Poland 2025. When planning shopping and trips, also remember that stores in Poland are closed on national holidays. You can find all the information about which national holidays stores will be closed in Poland in 2025 in the Public holidays in Poland 2025 article.
Outlet or stores in Warsaw
There are three large outlets in Warsaw – Designer Outlet Warszawa, Factory Ursus, and Factory Annopol.
Designer Outlet Warszawa – probably the largest outlet. It belongs to the ROS Retail Outlet Shopping group, which also has outlets in Gdańsk and Sosnowiec (near Kraków). The outlet itself is very modern, designed like many outlets in Germany or the UK, following a small-town concept. Here you will find stores such as Adidas, Armani, Boss, Calvin Klein, Furla, Guess, Lacoste, MaxMara, Michael Kors, Polo Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, and many others.
Factory Ursus and Factory Annopol belong to the same owners. In these outlets, you will also find many popular brand stores (Adidas, Calvin Klein, Guess, New Balance, Nike). Both Factory Ursus and Factory Annopol have a great children’s store outlet, SMYK. Also, we personally really like the sports store Mountain Warehouse. You can find rain gear and jackets for children at very good prices.
Shopping centers in Warsaw
There are many shopping centers in Warsaw. Many of them also have very similar stores. Therefore, I would recommend visiting where it is convenient for you (for example, when entering or leaving Warsaw, near a hotel or similar).
Galeria Młociny
I would highlight and recommend Galeria Młociny, as it has the Primark store closest to Lithuania, as well as our favorite stores Tkmaxx and Half Price. The shopping center also has many well-known and popular stores – Zara, H&M, Massimo Dutti, Nike, and others. There are also plenty of spacious areas for children within the shopping center. It is very conveniently connected to the metro, which stops right by the shopping center doors. By the way, there are also many thematic events and entertainment for children during holidays. And most importantly, our Motiejus really enjoys the two huge free slides that span across several floors of the shopping center.
M1 Marki, Ikea, shopping complex Homepark Targówek
Coming from Lithuania, before reaching Warsaw on the main S8 road, there is a large shopping complex. The M1 Marki shopping center, Ikea, and the Homepark Targówek shopping complex (which has a Tkmaxx store) are located here, and a little further along, there is the Atrium Targówek shopping center with many clothing stores. It is very convenient for both arriving in Warsaw and leaving, as you don’t need to navigate through the city. There is also a decent and interesting playground for children outside.
Złote Tarasy shopping center
In the city center, there is the Złote Tarasy shopping center. It is right next to the bus station and the main symbol of Warsaw – the Palace of Culture and Science. On the other side of Złote Tarasy shopping center and the Palace of Culture and Science, on Marszałkowska Street, there are many stores (Zara, Half Price, Reserved, C&A).
Arkadia shopping center
Arkadia shopping center is one of the largest shopping centers not only in Warsaw, but also in Poland itself with 240 stores. Belongs to the international chain of Westfield shopping centers.
Galeria Mokotów
Another large and popular shopping center is Galeria Mokotów. It has a very convenient location, not far from the city center. We would definitely recommend visiting it if you live in the Mokotów district, which, by the way, offers a wide selection of hotels and apartments. It’s also very convenient to live here since it’s close to the center.
Shopping center Blue City
A popular shopping center a bit farther from the center is Blue City. It’s very modern and stylish, with many stores and cafes. But the most exciting part of this shopping center is for children, although we guarantee it will be interesting for adults too – the 14,650 LEGO figure exhibition. There is also the FunClimb climbing room. It’s an amazing activity where you climb walls (but not ordinary walls – they’re all sorts of different ones, none like those you’ve seen in Lithuania). There’s also a very cool children’s playroom, Inca Play.
Shopping in Poland: brands
Action ir TEDI
These are stores with inexpensive knick-knacks, where you’ll find everything from household items to toys for children. They have a very wide selection of products and accessories for kids’ birthdays, home decor, and crafts. It’s definitely worth a visit because even if it seems like you don’t need anything, we guarantee you’ll find some little thing for the kids.
Wear Medicine
A store with very stylish and affordable clothing. We really like that the items are not expensive but are of very good quality and original.
Bath and body works
A cosmetics brand from the USA, somewhat similar to The Body Shop. Their stores are amazing, and they smell absolutely fantastic. We highly recommend visiting, as you’ll definitely find something for yourself.
Victoria’s Secret
This brand is definitely well-known to everyone. In Poland, you can find their physical stores in several locations.
SMYK
One of the best stores in Poland if you’re looking for children’s products. It’s similar to our Babycity. We highly recommend checking out Smyk outlet stores (where to find them – all the information is in this article), where items are much cheaper than in regular stores. You’ll find everything here, from toys, strollers, children’s products, to clothing.
Tkmaxx
If you’re going abroad or to Poland for shopping, you’re definitely familiar with the Tkmaxx store. It’s an outlet for branded goods, where products are half the price compared to chain stores. And during sales, you can find real gems for just a few or several dozen euros. The closest store to Lithuania used to be in Białystok, but now these stores are all over Poland. You can buy branded products much cheaper there. In some larger stores, there are also Gold Label sections, where you can find creations from famous designers. In the Gold Label section, you’ll find brands like Chloe, Ralph Lauren, Burberry, and Versace.
Half price
Recently, a store almost identical to Tkmaxx opened in Poland – Half Price! In my opinion, it has an even bigger and better selection of goods than Tkmaxx.
Specialized purchases
When in Poland, we always visit the pharmacy. Prices here differ significantly from those in Lithuania, and some medications can be bought for half the price compared to Lithuania. Polish pharmacies also accept prescriptions issued in Lithuania, but they need to be in paper form. Our favorite is Apteka Gemini, where we often find the best prices.
If you’re looking for furniture, we recommend Agata Meble stores. For household or construction goods, Obi or Castorama stores are similar to our Senukai or Depo.
At the Lithuania-Poland border, if you’re traveling by car, there’s a store called Vynoteka. Here, you’ll find meat and grocery products at really good prices.
