The Oriental Spa Garden is one of the hotel’s main attractions, offering a range of wellness treatments. The 5* hotel is strategically located for easy access to Tenerife’s many attractions. Hotel Botanico & The Oriental Spa Garden in Tenerife is the perfect choice for a romantic weekend or holiday!

Hotel Botanico&The Oriental Spa Garden

A stunning, recently renovated 5* hotel surrounded by 25,000 m2 of lush subtropical gardens. Classically styled but modernised and inspired by the Orient, the hotel offers first-class leisure services and the finest amenities, including beautiful gardens, restaurants and spa.

The hotel offers elegant and comfortable rooms and suites, where you can enjoy the magnificent views and all the amenities.

A welcome at the car park shows that service and customer care are very important here. So we parked our car in the free guarded car park. This is very important because in our experience, even with an all-inclusive package in the Canary Islands, you often have to pay for parking. You can also charge your electric car here.

A concierge with a welcome drink – juice – greets you at the hotel itself. A quick check-in and we hurry to our room as we have planned lunch at the hotel.

The hotel lobby is spacious and classic with an exquisite glass piece and a jellyfish aquarium.

The hotel’s common areas and gardens deserve their own review. As well as a spacious lobby with a bar where evening shows are held, there is also a hotel library with pool and billiards tables.

Other hotel areas

The subtropical gardens, with lakes, fountains, more than 200 species of plants, black swans, turtles and parrots, will provide you with an exceptional holiday. There are many natural corners and spaces – a whole separate exotic bird area at the breakfast restaurant, and a separate exotic plant area at Il Pappagallo restaurant. In the garden you can also find an herb garden – everything used to cook fresh food. Everything is tasteful, very well maintained and an integral part of the hotel.

There’s a gym, mini-golf courses and tennis courts.

The hotel also welcomes families with children. Please note, however, that in our opinion it is more suitable for children over 10 years old, as the hotel does not have many activities for children. It is also suitable for babies, whose activities are limited to those with their parents.

But we would still choose this hotel for a romantic weekend or a holiday without children.

Hotel Botanico&The Oriental Spa Garden in Tenerife: hotel rooms

The room is very spacious, with a large bathroom. We find fruit, wine and a welcome greeting. Personally, I liked very much that there are live flowers in the room and in the bathroom.

In the room you will find a coffee machine as well as a kettle and some coffee and tea. There is also free water. The bathroom is equipped with all necessary toiletries, bathrobes and slippers. The rooms are equipped with night curtains, soundproofing and air conditioning, so you can rest comfortably and have a really good night’s sleep.

The hotel is also suitable for business travellers with a work desk, wifi internet, cable/satellite TV, safe, iPod connectivity.

Room cleaning and preparation is impeccable – every evening the bed will be made up and prepared for sleep, and in the morning the room will be cleaned and prepared for your stay.

Hotel Botanico&The Oriental Spa Garden in Tenerife: restaurants and breakfast

The hotel has several restaurants offering Italian, Asian and Mediterranean cuisine, providing exceptional culinary experiences.

The hotel also offers a wonderful breakfast with fresh juices, eggs benedict, fried omelettes and pancakes. The choice is really wide, and everything is fresh and delicious.

We tried the three restaurants in the hotel itself.

Lunch at the Palmera Real

A great place to enjoy a variety of drinks and dishes. We tried this restaurant and we really liked it. The black paella was our favourite, and we would say it is one of the best paellas we have had on the island. The snacks were also delicious and the food was fresh.

Asian and Mediterranean restaurants for dinner

We would give the Asian restaurant The Oriental a 10, everything was very fresh, delicious and refreshing. Perhaps only the green papaya salad lacked spiciness, but everything else was just wonderful. A separate person in the restaurant advised us on the wine – the one we were offered was a perfect match for all the dishes.

The next evening we chose Il Pappagallo restaurant. The restaurant is located on the bottom floor of the hotel, almost like a cave. The restaurant serves mainly Italian dishes. We gave it a score of 9 because we liked everything except the pasta that we chose wasn’t spectacular, but the ravioli with foie gras and tuffles were just unbelievable. We also had help with the wine selection, although this time we were sure we would repeat the first night’s choice.

Our recommendation is to make sure you take a look at the menu for that day, because that’s where we found some spectacular dishes.

The lobby bar produces really good cocktails, and in the evening you can enjoy high quality live entertainment.

The only restaurants we didn’t try were the one on-site restaurant with Spanish cuisine and Brunelli’s, a steak restaurant located outside the hotel. Left for next time.

The Oriental Spa Garden: spa and wellness services

The Oriental Spa Garden offers a wide range of wellness treatments to relax and enjoy.

Set in 3,500 m2 of subtropical gardens, The Oriental Spa Garden has won numerous awards as the best hotel spa in Europe and the Mediterranean. The spa boasts a team of nearly 30 highly qualified professionals. Massages with golden oils, volcanic stones from the islands for relaxation, roses and sands from distant lands for total indulgence.

We tried the relaxing massages, the outdoor and indoor pools, the jacuzzi baths and the wonderful saunas of the Spa. We can only praise the spacious spa in the Canary Islands as we have not visited any other hotel in the Canary Islands. What’s impressive is that the spa has both outdoor and indoor areas. The outdoor pool is heated and there is a hot jacuzzi on the rocks.

The hotel’s professional staff will take care of the theme, decorations, music, food and even the cake for your event.

We highly recommend it! One of the better hotels we have tried on the island. After a weekend at this hotel, we would choose this hotel again for our next romantic getaway for two.
