Energylandia Park with children
Energylandia Park with children – a birthday present
We went to Energylandia for Motiejus 6th birthday. By the way, you should know that on the day of the child’s birth, a ticket for a child costs only 1 zloty! You just need to show your ID of course. The child also receives a special badge from the ticket office saying that today is his birthday. Energylandia Park with children is a great experience for the whole family and an unforgettable adventure.
Although there are many amusement and water parks in Poland, Energylandia is truly unique. We were really impressed by the number and choice of rides, the wonderful water park and the overall great atmosphere of the park. And the park and everything in the park is very well organised. We particularly liked the fact that the park is very well staffed and very tidy. When you take a shower in the water park, the staff immediately wash the floors, look at the map and be sure they’ll come over and ask you if everything is OK. And the prices are not very high.
By the way, if you are planning to travel to Zakopane with children or visit Krakow with children, make sure you take an extra day on your itinerary and visit this park.
For us, a trip is the best gift and our children are also extremely happy if we go on a trip for their birthday. Because a trip is a wonderful memory and experience that will last a lifetime.
Energylandia Park with children – entertainment areas
Energylandia Park is huge, divided into 7 zones! We would specify two big parts – the amusement park and the water park. We’ll talk about the water park separately, but for now we’ll share our impressions of the amusement park zones. By the way, the staff is really responsible in measuring the children’s height and even if they are a few centimetres short of the required limit, unfortunately, they do not allow even crying children who want to go on the rides. We therefore strongly recommend that you talk to your children about the height limits and the fact that they will not be able to try all the rides before visiting the park.
It is very handy that at all the big rides there are signs on the ground at the queue showing how much time is left to wait, which is especially good for children, and helps them to keep track of how much time is left.
The park has a lot of animators, all very friendly and happy to take photos with the children. There are animators in all areas of the park. Photos of the rides are available at all the attractions. It is also very convenient that you can buy a season ticket, which allows you to take photos of all the attractions with you.
Bajkolandia
The Energylandia Bajkolandia area is designed for the youngest visitors. Most of the rides can be used by children as young as 2 years old. This is the oldest area of Energylandia, which has been in place since the park opened. There are 20 different rides that will appeal to the youngest children as well as older ones. This area is located just inside the entrance to the park, so you won’t want to miss it. There is a wide choice of cafés, plenty of toilets and a parent-child room. There are animators to meet and a small stage with performances for the little ones. We are often asked if Energylandia is worth going to with younger children – and the answer is definitely yes, because the number of attractions for children is just wow, how many and how cool.
Family zone
The Family Zone has 14 attractions for the whole family. Kids will love it, but adults will have a great time too. The most recommended rides are definitely the RMF Dragon and the Boomerang roller coaster. But the water rides that I liked the most in this zone were Anaconda, Toffifee Gold Mine, Jungle Adventure and Atlantis. Anaconda was probably the ride that the whole family enjoyed the most.
Smoczy Gród area
This area is probably the most impressive in terms of its decor – houses, dragons, medieval atmosphere. The main attraction of Smoczy Gród is the world’s highest wooden roller coaster, the Zadra. With a top speed of 121 km/h, a height of 62.8 m, a length of 1316 m and a slope of 90 degrees.
Aqualantis
This was the newest Energylandia zone, before the Sweet Valley zone opened on 27 April 2024. The main attraction of Aqualantis is undoubtedly the Abyssus dual-launch coaster (the coaster is launched twice in one ride). This roller coaster reaches its highest point at 38 metres and runs on 1 316 metres of track. It is one of only two roller coasters with a height limit of 120 cm and a downhill header. As our Motiejus was 125 cm at the time of our visit, this was one of the two most extreme rides for him, with a downward swing.
Extreme Zone
The Extreme Zone at Energylandia amusement park is a place for people looking for the ultimate adrenaline rush. The Hyperion is undoubtedly the highlight of this zone and is the tallest and fastest ride in the entire Energylandia park. I have to admit, we didn’t really try all the rides because some of them just seemed too extreme already.
Personally, I really liked the Speed RC ride, where you take an elevator to a height of 50 metres and go down into the water zone at 100 km/h. Personally, I like all the rides that involve water.
One of the two rides in this area is Moya Formula, which has a height limit of 120 cm and also has a head-down gate. Tsunami Drop starts at 130 cm and all the other rides start at 140 cm.
Sweet Valley Zone
The newest Energylandia zone, which only opened on 27 April 2024. We haven’t visited this zone yet, but have seen it under construction. We were very impressed by the decorations, the colours and the candy motifs. This area is for the whole family. We very much look forward to visiting it.
Energylandia Park with children – when to go?
Energylandia is open from April to October. It is also open during Halloween and the Christmas period. The park is then themed. The most popular time to visit the park is in summer, when the water park is also open. However, it is also the most crowded time of the year as it is the holiday season. But if you go in April or October, you always run the risk of bad weather, cold weather or rain.
When you go to the park, you should be prepared that there will be a lot of people and that you will have to wait in queues, but we didn’t find the queues to be enormous at all. Because we went to the park with the same mindset as every other park, that there can’t be too few people in these places. The least crowds are in the early morning and before the park closes, the most in the afternoon.
For this reason, we highly recommend that you take two days to visit the park, so that you can visit all the attractions in a relaxed, stress-free way.
Practical tips for Energylandia theme park
Spend two days at the park so you can try all the rides, have lunch in the cafes and try the water park without any hassle or stress.
There is no extra charge for the water park, you can swing on the rides, go to the water park, come back to the water park, but be aware that swinging on the rides in a swimsuit is strictly prohibited. We spent the first day on the rides, the second day swinging again on the rides we liked best, half a day at the water park and then attending the shows.
Parking at the park is payable at 20 zlotys. As you drive towards the park you will be invited to many other car parks, there will be lots of signs, these are private car parks that are a little further away from the park. So you may have to walk quite a bit, so go all the way to the end, to Energylandia Park.
You can leave the park if you forget something in the car, just tell the security guard and you can come back later.
There are large drying racks in the park area where you can dry your clothes if you want to after the water rides.
There are large lockers where you can leave things you don’t need when you enter the park. That is, you can leave your towels at the water park and not take them to the rides area. We also recommend leaving jackets there if it is cool in the morning and warm during the day. There are also lockers throughout the park.
Useful tips for Energylandia
There are also temporary lockers at each of the big rides, where you can leave your belongings and pick them up when you leave the ride. This locker costs 12 zlotys for the whole day. You buy a wristband at the first attraction and use it to unlock the lockers at all other attractions. However, you can only leave things in these lockers when you enter the attraction and you have to pick them up when you leave, unlike the lockers at the entrance, where you can keep things all day.
We recommend that you arrive at the park just before opening, park your car quietly and be at the gates just before the park opens. That way you will be one of the first in the park. There are fun shows when the park opens, just as there are when the park closes. You can meet animators dressed up as park characters and there is a mini parade.
By the way, the main tip here and in all theme parks in the world is to make sure you go to the furthest rides as soon as you enter the park. Because people always queue up at the first rides and the rides further away are empty.
Meals in the park
There are no restrictions on bringing food or drinks into the park. We recommend bringing water and snacks. It was hot when we visited the park, so we had plenty of water. We always have Ponn purees and snacks with us, because the children really like them and they are really good. And most importantly, they don’t get bad, even when you’re outside all day in warm weather.
The park is full of cafés, restaurants, themed bars and snack bars. You can find pizza, burgers, salads and buffet cafés. The prices are not very high like in other parks. We had lunch, ice cream, went to the bar, had waffles.
By the way, most of the cafes and restaurants have charging stations for phones. So keep your wires ready if you need to capture all the adventures in Energylandia Park.
Poland’s biggest theme park – where to buy tickets and how much they cost
You can buy tickets for Energylandia online or at the on-site ticket office. The price depends on the season – spring, summer or autumn. The cheapest tickets are in spring, slightly more expensive in autumn, and the most expensive are obviously in summer. For children under 3 years old, the ticket costs only 1 zloty. On your birthday you can also buy tickets for a child under 18, also for 1 zloty. When buying a ticket for 1 zloty, an adult ticket must be purchased at the same time.
Tickets for children up to 140 cm are slightly cheaper than for adults. There are also discounts for older people, as well as for people with disabilities and pregnant women. On average in high season, a one-day ticket for an adult costs around €45 and a two-day ticket €84. Sometimes you can also get cheaper tickets through intermediaries.
We bought our tickets through the world’s largest ticketing system for less than the official park website. Sometimes hotels near the park can also offer discounted tickets.

Fast pass Energylandia park
Many people don’t know it and don’t use it, but there are 4 main attractions where you can use the Fast Pass. And the Fast Pass doesn’t cost anything, unlike Disneyland or other big theme parks. Fast passes are valid for Hyperion and Mayan in the Extreme Zone, Abyssus in the Aqualantis Zone and Zadra in Smoczy Gród. The Fast Pass can be used once per day. By the way, these attractions are over 140 cm., but if you are with children under 140 cm., you can use a child ticket and get a Fast pass for yourself.
You can get a Fast Pass at the machines next to the rides. You must have your park tickets with you to use the Fast Pass, so do not throw your tickets away when you enter the park. At the special machines you scan your tickets and get your allotted time. You can use your time up to a maximum of 10 minutes before or 10 minutes after your time.
Energylandia Water Park
We highly recommend you make time for the Energylandia Water Park. As we have already written, Energylandia Water Park does not require an additional ticket, it is one of the seven parts of the park. You can swing on the rides, go to the water park, come back to the amusement park again, but be aware that swinging on the rides in a swimsuit is strictly forbidden.
If you are visiting both the rides and the water park on the same day, we strongly recommend that you put your water park items in the lockers and do not take them on the rides.
The water park is just after you enter Energylandia, turn left. The water park area is very large, with plenty of sun beds, you can choose between sand or tiles, closer to the children’s pools or slides. We really liked the very tidy changing rooms and the indoor showers, and the hairdryers by the showers. You can definitely have a normal shower after the water park and dry your hair. There is a lot of staff who take care of cleanliness and order.
The staff at all the slides measure the height of the children and certainly do not make any exceptions, so if you do not have the required height you will not be allowed to slide. There are a lot of lifeguards on duty everywhere and they really keep things tidy. If someone jumps, they discipline them and watch them.
The water park has four main areas and seven pools.
Big Milk Zone
The Big Milk area has three heated pools and a very large toddler area with a water playground and a shallow pool. We highly recommend that you make sure you wear sun cream both on the rides and in the water park. Because it is very easy to get uncomfortable and badly sunburned while having fun. Our best sun cosmetics for children always travel with us.
Tropical Fun Zone
Tropical Fun is a zone of slides, some of them extreme. There are 14 slides in total. The number 1 attraction in the Tropical Fun Zone is the RMF MAXXX Kamikaze. This extreme slide has a moving floor which, when it opens, drops you straight into the slide and down from a height of 15.5 m at speeds of up to 54 km/h, completing a 90 m-long track.
Exotic Island
The Exotic Island area consists of two giant heated pools. Our kids loved The Funky Monkey water playground with lots of fun activities and slides.
Bamboo Bay
Bamboo Bay is the newest water park area with 16 slides. It’s a very cool place and we spent a lot of time there. It’s the furthest away from all the other attractions, so it’s the least crowded of all the other areas in the waterpark.
Where to stay when going to Energylandia
Energylandia is located in the small town of Zator. There are many private apartments, campsites and bungalows in and around Zator. There is also a very popular choice in the town of Oświęcim, where we stayed. Here you can also visit one of the most visited sites in Poland, the Auschwitz concentration camp. However, we do not recommend visiting with small children.
We stayed in the Willa Zator hotel – apartments. We really liked it – clean, tidy, free parking and a really good breakfast.
Booking.com |
If you combine your visit to Energylandia with a visit to Krakow, you can also choose to stay in Krakow itself. By the way, you can go to Energylandia not only by car. As Energylandia is located just 50 kilometres from Krakow, you can take the train to Krakow or book a shuttle service from Krakow to Energylandia and visit the park in one.
Shows at Energylandia amusement park
If you are visiting Energylandia for two days, we highly recommend that you take the time to visit the various shows. They take place in different areas. We took part in the machine drift show, which really impressed us. You can find information about the shows everywhere in the park.
