Labyrinth Park and Such a Different Town

Anyksciai with children is unthinkable for us without Labyrinth Park. Labyrinth Park is a unique and the only amusement park of its kind not only in Lithuania but also in the Baltic States. The Labyrinth Park is renewed every year – so if you went last year, you can go again this year.

The main attractions of the park are the mazes. These are the places where your orientation skills will be tested. Believe me, it’s fun.

There are also mirror and ribbon mazes. I have never seen a ribbon maze, but I have not been able to find the way out of it either. Children and the whole family can enjoy not only the unreal mazes but also two different tyre slides, a mini golf course, water boats, a train, a devil’s tunnel, bouncy castles and water cushions, a mini staircase, a shooting range, a room of curved mirrors, observation decks and many more.

It is very convenient that the ticket is valid for the whole day. You can leave and come back again. There is also a place to eat on site.

Next to the Labyrinth Park there is the Such a Different Town. In this small town in the park, the houses are not built according to the rules, in a different way: one house is “upside down”, another is crooked, another is rotating. In each of them, different sensations await. Be sure to visit if you haven’t already! A fun activity for both young and old.

For those who want extreme sensations, Anyksciai Water Fun offers double, triple and quadruple water tyres (inflatable water rides pulled by a boat). For those who want a burst of adrenaline – parachute flight over the lake (for minors only with parental permission and participation, weight up to 90kg)

Anyksciai water activities are open on weekends and holidays, May-September. Weekdays by separate appointment.

Once there, you can walk along the forest paths, visit the Treetop Trail, the Rope Suspension Bridge, the Puntukas Stone, have fun on the Barefoot Eco-Trail, the Trail of the Past, and get to the Silelis Rabbit Fortress. Treetop Trail and Puntukas Stone

The Treetop Trail is one of the most famous walking trails not only in Lithuania, but also in the whole of the Baltics. It is the first trail in the region that winds through the treetops of Anyksciai Forest, rising from the ground to a height of up to 21 metres. The treetop trail in Anyksciai Regional Park stretches for 300 m and ends with a 34 m high observation tower, from which you can admire the spectacular nature of Anyksciai forest, as described by the poet A. Baranauskas, as well as the meanders of the Sventoji River, and in the distance you can see the highest in Lithuania – St. Matthew’s Church tower.

The Treetop Trail is special because it is very different at every season. What you see in summer or early spring is completely different from what you see in winter. On your way to the start and entrance of the Treetop Trail, be sure to visit the Puntukas Stone.

Forest Rabbit Fortress, Barefoot Eco-trail and Trail of the Past

These three sites are all located in one place, a little further away from the Treetop Trail, but within easy walking distance, so it is convenient to visit them together. The Barefoot Eco Trail will appeal to children and adults alike. The trail is 1 km and 200 metres long. It is a completely natural walking trail, surrounded by nature, and is only for barefoot walkers.

You will reach the Rabbit Fortress by completing a 500 metre obstacle course. It will definitely require stamina and skill, but will be great fun for children. After the obstacle course, you will reach the magnificent fortress, which offers a breathtaking panorama of the forest with free-roaming rabbits. You can feed and pet them.

On the Trail of the Past, you will find giant sculptures carved out of wood. They were and still are being created by Valerijus Kunigelis, a well-known woodcarver in the country and abroad. The sculpture park features a crocodile, monkeys, a turtle, a mammoth and other animals of impressive size. Children will find it interesting.

Bangenis Swimming Pool – the perfect place to relax after a day of fun

There are probably no children who don’t like swimming. When we visit different cities, a visit to the pool or spa is simply a must. Anyksciai is no exception. The Bangenis swimming pool is simply wonderful, well maintained, has a small, very warm children’s pool, hydro-massage pools, a whirlpool, and we didn’t even have time to visit all the saunas. It’s really hard to believe that in such a small town there’s such a big pool with so many extra services. And the price is really very low. We highly recommend it.

Hill of Kalita

Kalita Hill is the most visited place both in summer and winter. If you are in Anyksciai, make sure you come here.

Probably the most famous and popular attraction here, and the one with the most visitors, is the toboggan run. Almost 500 m of the track features various turns, a loop, a springboard and fun slides. The toboggans fly at speeds of up to 40 km/h, so adrenaline and unforgettable impressions are guaranteed for both young and old. It’s great that the toboggans are open all season long. We can’t imagine both summer and winter entertainment in Anyksciai without these toboggans. There is also a tyre slide, children’s cars, a virtual reality and a café.

Read about Kalita Hill in winter in the article Winter entertainment in Anyksciai.

Dainuva Adventure Valley

This is the best place to be active and enjoy nature. Visitors to the park will experience unforgettable impressions and spicy sensations as they go from tree to tree, over easy and difficult trails. Every visitor, no matter what their age or fitness level, will find the right trail for them. The park has 6 slopes of varying difficulty, with heights up to 13 metres. The most adventurous can enjoy the “Flight over Sventoji” with a total length of over 300 metres! It’s great to see that the park also has slopes that are suitable for younger children, with two “Toddler slopes”. If you still have the energy, you can try the 9-metre-high Kibi Wall. For the more extreme, there is the Big Swing from 13 metres high with a free fall of 2-3 metres.

Anyksciai Karting Track

Manor House of Stories

The Manor of Stories is a very interactive museum geared more towards children, but definitely interesting for parents too. Here you will learn about the history of Anyksciai – but rest assured, it is not a boring museum. It’s very interactive, you can touch everything and try it yourself.

Anukis

Here you will feel like you are in the countryside with your children: you will be able to see, feed and pet the sheep, goats, cows, horses, various birds, and enter the rabbit enclosure. There are also a wide range of activities. You can also celebrate various occasions. It is only one kilometre from Anyksciai. We highly recommend a visit.

Fun, swimming and accommodation “Nykscio namai”

We can’t imagine a visit to Anyksciai without “Nykscio namai”. The hotel is located in a quiet area, yet easily accessible from the city centre. All the attractions of Anyksciai are nearby. A big plus is that children up to three years old stay free of charge if they share a bed with their parents. The hotel has a new and very modern spa centre. There is also a great little pool for the smallest children. There is also a swimming pool with counter-jet, cascade and massage jets, and a suction bath. There is also a sauna and a steam bath. This spa is perfect with small children.

For active leisure, there is a gym, outdoor tennis courts, a basketball court, bowling, a billiards bar with a games room where you can play table tennis, table football, darts, curling and air hockey. In summer, there is a wonderful playground next to the hotel.

Narrow gauge railway and its museum

When in Anyksciai, we highly recommend taking a ride on the Short Ride of the narrow gauge railway. In the narrow gauge railway museum you can see the steam locomotive “Kukuska”, other narrow railway rolling stock, communication and signalling equipment. The station has a waiting room and the office of the stationmaster of interwar Lithuania. You can try out the working exhibits – a hand-operated dressage train and a tricycle on rails.

Sventoji Left Bank Health Trail

A great walking and cycling trail, ideal for both walking and riding. The trail connects the existing Anyksciai – Niuronys and Anyksciai – Puntukas stones pedestrian and cycling routes.
