Paneriškės observation point
One of the most special spots in the Neris regional park is the Paneriškės observation point. First and foremost, the view of the Neris valley from here can rival not only the park’s most beautiful panoramas but also some of the best in Lithuania.
You can see the boundless forests of the regional park, the wide bend of the Neris river, several islands in the riverbed, and the Paneriškės village peeking through the trees. All this can be viewed as if viewed from a bird’s eye perspective.
Ausiutiškės observation point
Along the left bank of the Neris river, the renovated Ausiutiškės observation point awaits! In place of the old wooden observation tower, a new platform has been built, offering views of the now legendary park panorama. Nearby, you’ll find a picnic table with benches and a fire pit with a barbecue grill. So, after visiting the observation point, you can stop and enjoy a meal in nature with your family.
Velniakampis observation point
From the top of the Velniakampis cliff, a stunning view of the Neris valley unfolds. This intriguingly named observation point is one of the most impressive in the Neris regional park.
Staškinė lake observation point
The Staškinė observation point is located on the southeastern slope of Staškinė lake. From the observation point, you can enjoy views of the Švenčioniai highlands hills, the peninsulas of Staškinė lake, and Kančioginis lake Dubaklonis landscape. The observation point is 14 meters high. You can reach the first floor with a stroller, while older children can climb to the second level.
Verkšionys observation point
From the high Neris cliff, a magnificent view opens up. The landscape of the middle Neris, with its expressive river loops, will leave no one indifferent.
Buivydai mound observation deck
The observation platform is located on the northern part of Buivydai mound, above a steep slope. From Buivydai mound, you can enjoy magnificent panoramic views of the Dūkšta valley, which stretches like a canyon.
Kernavė mound observation deck
This unique platform offers a view of five mounds: Aukuras, Mindaugas Throne, Lizdeika, Castle, and Kriveikiškis. The entire area visible in the panorama belongs to the World Cultural Heritage object – the Kernavė archaeological area. This area is a legacy of natural processes (the retreat of glaciers) and long-term human activity.
Kačėniškės mound observation deck
Kačėniškės mound is a unique structure of the Čiūlėnai hills. It is located on the western bank of Mergežeris, on an elongated ridge surrounded by a lake and swampy lowlands. From the mound summit, the observation deck offers a view of the lake. There are paths, wooden stairs, resting areas with benches and fire pits, and bicycle racks. An 800-meter long educational, terraced trail leads to the mound through the marshy areas.
Senadvaris (Švenčionys) observation tower
From the Senadvaris observation tower, you can enjoy panoramic views of the forests in the Šventa and Sirvėta landscape reserves, the nearby homestead of Meilūnai, and the hill of love, and on your tiptoes, you can see the outline of lake Bėlys. Its height – 26 meters.
