Siauliai Young Naturalists Center’s stud farm is located in a very beautiful place in the city center.

The Iron Fox and the coast of lake Talksa

While walking along the coast of Lake Talksa, you will experience a lot of good emotions and a burst of adrenaline. A modern children’s playground, an energetic labyrinth, sports equipment, water attractions, recreation areas and wonderful landscapes. You will not only have fun by the lake, but also taste delicious ice cream. And the Iron Fox, which is in the Lithuanian record book as the largest animal sculpture, will be happy to be petted and photographed.

„Ruta“ Chocolate Museum

The „Ruta“ chocolate museum is located in the longest operating candy factory in Lithuania. This museum is already counting its second century of existence. In this museum, you will have a special opportunity to wander through the labyrinths of chocolate history. You will see the cacao tree up close and explore the types of chocolate. By pre-ordering the education, you can become a chocolatier and make your own sweets. If you stop by the cafe right here, you will enjoy a drink of hot chocolate, and in the shop you will load bags full of gifts.

Bicycle Museum

Can you imagine what a bicycle built 500 years ago might have looked like?! The Bicycle Museum is also the only and specialized museum in Lithuania dedicated to the history of the bicycle. The museum is also interactive, with many different exhibits to try out.

On the first floor of the museum, both adults and children can try an ancient bicycle, which is constructed according to drawings that are almost five centuries old. You can try a velomobile on the second floor, and road bikes on the third floor. It was really interesting to show the kids what our childhood bikes looked like. And the funnest part was seeing the orange bicycle of the city of Vilnius in the museum, remember those?

Center of the „Balts Road“

The „Balts Road“ center, located next to the information center of the city of Šiauliai, invites you to travel along the paths of your ancestors and get to know the Balts culture. Visiting the „Balts Road“ center is free, so definitely don’t miss this opportunity to visit here with your children. The center is very modern and contemporary. Thanks to various modern technologies and fun games, you can travel to the magical world of the Balts and try out a Balts profession. You can also create an artistic photo session and test your knowledge of history and culture.

Railway Museum

A lot of surprises and fun await you at the Railway Museum. In this special place, you will become a train driver for a moment, and you will take a photo next to an old steam locomotive or a narrow-gauge railway car. You will also see what the station looked like when the first train arrived in Šiauliai. You will also learn everything about the everyday life of the railway workers.

Telephony Museum

In the Telephony Museum, you can try a „wired“ phone or call a friend from a phone booth. In these spaces, interesting facts from the history of telephony and a humorous photo session await you.

Vanda Kavaliauskiene cat museum

The Vanda Kavaliauskiene Cat Museum is the only such place in the Baltic States. There are cats everywhere: in showcases, windows, on walls and ceilings. In this museum, you will see a huge painting in which as many as 42 cats were painted, which once lived in the house of a rich lady. You will be surprised not only by thousands of exhibits from all over the world, but also by cats roaming around. The Animals garden is located on the premises of the museum, where you can get to know various exotic animals: listen to a talking parrot, pet cockroaches or wrap your neck around a snake.
