We have always said that we lack a holiday complex in Lithuania that has everything in one – a hotel, different accommodation options, spa, swimming pools, entertainment, infrastructure, horse riding. A place where you could have a great family time and relax. And it turns out we were wrong – such a complex, designed for the perfect family holiday, is available in Lithuania. It’s Harmony park in Prienai district. Harmony park with children is a wonderful place that we have recently discovered. And we can probably say with confidence that it is the best and biggest holiday complex in Lithuania.

Harmony park is not new, but it has always seemed to us to be a place for luxury holidays, for women who like exclusive spas, for luxury dinners. However, this stereotype disappeared the minute we arrived. We can safely say that Harmony park with children is the perfect place for families to relax and unwind.

So what is Harmony park? It’s a holiday complex of more than 220 hectares, with everything you could possibly need for a perfect holiday. It’s hard to even imagine the size of the complex until you’ve been there and seen it all for yourself. The 220 hectares include a 5-star Harmony park hotel with villas of all sizes, a campsite, a stud farm, a racecourse with international standards, swimming ponds, tennis and paddle courts, mini-golf, a spa, a swimming pool, saunas, jacuzzis, and cycle paths. There are excellent spaces for events, celebrations and children’s birthday parties. And the best part is that there are a variety of free events.

The whole park is famous for its various symbols of the human desire to develop consciousness. When you arrive here, the atmosphere is truly unique – everything is peaceful and beautiful, and the park’s buildings seem to blend in with nature.

Harmony park with children – accommodation options

We had chosen a family apartment at the 5-star Harmony park Hotel for our holiday. I won’t lie, Harmony park would definitely be in the top 5 of the most luxurious hotels in Lithuania. The apartment has two bedrooms with extra-large beds and a spacious living room with a kitchenette, dining table and huge TV. The apartment would be perfect for a family or a larger group. It has everything you need for a cosy stay – a kitchenette, fridge, desk and soft furniture.

Various villa complexes with different accommodation options are located throughout the park. For our upcoming holiday, we visited several villa complexes. The big advantage is that there are several different villas with different accommodation options. We really liked the villa complex “Romove”. There is a large 12-bedroom house, a 4-bedroom house and three 2-bedroom houses. Just perfect for private holidays. The villas are set far apart from each other, so complete privacy is guaranteed. The villa complex we visited, Romove, also has a volleyball court. We were impressed by the fact that some of the villas have jacuzzis, ponds, saunas and hot tubs. Everything is simply designed for a perfect holiday – whether you are a couple looking for a romantic break or a family.

We also booked a jacuzzi at one of the villas for a very nice time with the family. The children enjoyed this activity perfectly. We have already made plans to come back here with the grandparents in the near future.

Harmony park campsite

It has also been a long time dream of ours to take our children camping. And we were really impressed with the Harmony park campsite. The campsite has campervan pitches with electricity, a sewerage system for campervans and a water refill point. For your convenience, there are modern toilets, showers and a kitchenette nearby with a washing machine, stove, microwave and other kitchen essentials. You can also pitch a tent on the nearby lawn or rent the nearby holiday cabins.

Pool and sauna area, spa and hammam

We love swimming pools with children – and the Harmony park pool and sauna area is really special and extremely beautiful. For us, when travelling with children, it’s very important that not only the pool water is warm, but also the pool environment. Everything in the Harmony Spa is perfect for children, from the changing rooms with changing tables to the extremely warm pool environment. There’s also a separate corner with all the pool essentials for children – diving goggles, flippers, wheels. So don’t worry if you don’t have one or have forgotten yours.

There’s a leisure pool with cascades, massage bays and underwater geysers, a 25-metre swimming pool, a cold-water pool for refreshing yourself after a sauna, and a jacuzzi. There are also four saunas – sauna, steam, infrared, Kelo log sauna (not open all days). The pool and spa area itself is very nice, the steam room alone is like a tale from a thousand and one nights.

I might miss the tiny children’s pool, but the warm pool water and surroundings make up for it

Be sure to visit the authentic Turkish bath – the hammam. We have travelled extensively in the Arab world, but we have never seen such a beautiful hammam anywhere. In fact, the entire Harmony park spa is simply exquisitely beautiful and full of sophistication.

Fun for children and the whole family

Harmony park has a really great range of activities for children. In particular, if you’re like us and love the outdoors and cycling, this is the perfect place to do it. Bicycles can be rented at the hotel. There are bikes for younger children and bikes with child seats. You can also ride electric scooters or electric tricycles around the Harmony park area. And even the little ones can enjoy the hotel’s electric car.

There are also mini-golf courses. If you’ve been following us for a while, you’ll know that we love mini-golf. So of course we didn’t miss the opportunity to play mini golf at Harmony park. An hour of play here costs just €5. And most importantly, everything in Harmony park is thought out down to the last detail. You can drive to the mini-golf courses in a real golf cart. The experience for children is unparalleled.

In high season, there’s a wonderful beach for swimming and plenty of water activities. There is also a café by the beach. You can go pedal boating, paddle boarding, and Motiejus tried out the softboard.

There is also the Samana Gastro Bar, open at weekends, and next to the racecourse there is a free basketball court and a perfect playground for children. We have already made plans to come here for a weekend with the family. In fact, you can visit the gastrobar and have fun by the water even if you are not staying in Hamony park.

Free events at Harmony park

By the way, there are free foam shows for children on weekends. Impressive, isn’t it? You can see all the events taking place on the Harmony park website. And most importantly, you can come and have fun even if you are not staying at Harmony park.

By the way, on 27-30 June the Harmony park Racecourse will host the Open Lithuanian Eventing Championship. This event is free of charge – so we highly recommend a visit. We will definitely be there.

In fact, everything at Harmony park is family-friendly. Even the hotel and restaurant have a wonderful playground and mini golf for children.

“Harmony park’s” Simboly restaurant

The Harmony park’s Simboly restaurant deserves its own compliments. You can have lunch and dinner here, and the food is amazingly tasty. Although we had planned to visit the restaurants in Prienai, after having dinner here the first night, we realised that we wouldn’t be going anywhere, because the food is so delicious. The restaurant serves exceptional European cuisine. You can come and dine here even if you are not staying here.

This restaurant also serves breakfast. What we really liked is that breakfast is served until 11.00. So you can sleep in and have a relaxing breakfast. There is a separate corner in the restaurant for children with games and drawing materials. Of course there are also highchairs for children. There is a great children’s menu.

“Harmony park” Stables

We have visited many horse stables all over Lithuania, as Motiejus and his dad love horse riding. The “Harmony park” Stud and all the facilities are simply spectacular. From the indoor arena to the outdoor open fields, to the very competent trainers and the great horses. We had booked a riding lesson and a tour of the stables, we fed the horses and the trainer told us lots of interesting things.

The stables also organises children’s birthday parties, where a professional trainer will introduce the children to the horses and give them riding lessons. The birthday celebration will be an extraordinary event that will live long in the memory, because children are always impressed by these beautiful, noble and intelligent animals. Harmony park – prices

I have to admit, we thought Harmony park was not only luxurious, but also very expensive. But that’s another stereotype that disappeared on arrival. Harmony park has a wide range of accommodation options. From the luxurious 5* Harmony park Hotel, to a variety of villas and even camping. So you can choose your accommodation according to your needs and possibilities. You can choose from cheaper or more expensive accommodation options for a great time and relax in the beautiful Harmony park complex. Tent pitches cost EUR 10 per night.

If you prefer, you can stay in a luxury apartment and eat in the restaurant, or if you’re looking for a cheaper option, you can choose villas and cook in the kitchenettes. In addition to the luxurious “Simboly” restaurant with gourmet food, there is also the Samana gastro-bar, open at weekends, with really friendly prices. We usually compare the price of the Caesar salad and the French fries from the children’s menu when comparing restaurant prices, as these two dishes are found in all restaurants and cafés. So, for comparison, at Gastorbar Samana, a children’s portion of French fries costs 3 EUR, while Caesar salad costs 8 EUR.

Our rating

We are constantly travelling and visiting many places, both in Lithuania and abroad, but our whole family was simply captivated by Harmony park. It is definitely one of the best places for a family and children’s holiday in Lithuania. Will we be back? Definitely yes. Can we recommend it to you – 100%.
