Christmas cartoons for kids

We recommend you the most beautiful and memorable Christmas cartoons for kids for a cosy time with your family.

Christmas cartoons will be a great entertainment for kids and remind parents of their childhood and snowy Christmas and New Year. Maybe it will become a fun activity and a nice tradition for your family.

“The Polar Express”

You wake up in the morning and see a magical train outside your house that can take you to the North Pole to see Santa Claus. Would you like a ride? For the hero of this film, that’s exactly what happens. He embarks on an adventurous and unforgettable journey.

This film should definitely be included in the list of TOP Christmas cartoons for kids.

“Arthur Christmas”

Arthur is not just any guy, but Santa’s son. The second one, in fact, so he often has to share the honour with his older brother, who dreams of soon taking over the wheel of Santa’s sleigh. It would all be the same if it weren’t for one forgotten little girl who may find herself without a present this Christmas! Funny elves, original Santas, modern transport and sleigh technology, a fabulous room of letters to Santa and, above all, Christmas saved.

“Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas”

This film tells the story of Peaches, a little mammoth, and her friends, who travel to the North Pole to see Santa Claus to be taken off the naughty list. If you like the other films in the Ice Age series, you’ll like this one too.

“Klaus”

This is a new Christmas animated film released by our beloved Netflix in November this year. The story centres on an inhospitable town where neighbours don’t even say hello because of long-standing conflicts. One day, a spoilt young man who works as a letter carrier arrives in the area and slowly gets to know the local toymaker. One good job leads to another, and soon the town is changing. This film is an entertaining story to help you imagine how Christmas traditions might have developed.

“Frozen”

There are probably no children who haven’t seen this film before. It is the story of two sisters learning about friendship and mutual love. Fabulous winter scenes, wonderful music and exciting adventures have made the film so popular. Although it is not directly about Christmas, The Ice Country is, of course, a winter film.

“Angela’s Christmas”

This animated short takes the audience back to 1910s Ireland. It tells a sweet but heartbreaking story about the importance of family and a little girl’s innocent wish for everyone to feel loved at Christmas. The protagonist, Angela, takes a doll of the baby Jesus from the church, not to possess it, but simply to warm her home. Recommended for older children.

“The star”

A brave little donkey named Bo dreams of the life that awaits him outside the village mill, no longer turning the windmill. One day, he finally finds the determination to escape and embark on the adventure of his dreams. Along the way, he is joined by Ruth, a sheep lost from her flock, and Dave, a pigeon with lofty aspirations. Together with three witty camels and some eccentric barn animals, Bo follows Star and becomes an unlikely hero.

“The Snow Queen”

This is the charming story of a brave girl named Gerda. Gerda’s little brother Kai is kidnapped by the evil Snow Queen. To rescue the enchanted Kai, Gerda embarks on a long journey full of dangers and trials. Her brave and kind heart helps her to overcome all obstacles and face the Snow Queen herself. With her brother back, Gerda faces one more challenge – to save the world from the coming Ice Kingdom.

The evil Snow Queen is out to find and destroy good people. By freezing everything in the cold and with the help of her villainous assistants, the Queen wants to freeze and rule over everything that lives. This is a great story for the whole family to understand true values. You can even find several versions of this film (newer, older edition).

“Elliot The Littlest Reindeer”

This charming cartoon will capture the hearts of the little ones, both young and old, as well as adults. It’s the story of a little reindeer with a big heart. In fact, he’s not even a reindeer, but a horse who dreams of becoming part of Santa’s reindeer family. And then, the perfect opportunity arises – one of Santa’s reindeer decides to leave the reindeer ring. Then Eliot does everything he can to be part of it. Of course, the reindeer are reluctant to accept him into their ranks. But Eliot the horse doesn’t give up and sets off for the reindeer race. A film that shows that dreams can come true if you work hard for them.

“Rise of the Guardians”

Meet Jack Frost and his friends – the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, Sandy the Dreamkeeper and, of course, Santa Claus. The company is fun and they’re in for a serious challenge as the children may lose their Christmas!

“Saving Santa”

A humble barn elf discovers that he is the only elf who can stop the invasion of the North Pole by using the secret of Santa’s sleigh – the Time Globe. This way, he can go back in time and save Santa Claus… twice.

“Niko: way to the stars”

Niko is a reindeer child who dreams of learning to fly and being just like his dad. After all, his dad is Santa’s own reindeer! The trouble is, Niko only feels solid on the ground. And once he gets off the ground, he gets dizzy. Niko’s best friend, Julius the squirrel, is the one who supports his dreams and encourages him to keep his hooves on the ground.

One cold day, the two friends overhear the wolf gang’s plans to visit Santa Claus. Horrified, Niko and Julius set off on a journey to warn Santa’s pack of the danger. The friends are rescued by Vilma, a cute and brave weasel they meet on the way. Together, the trio reach their destination, convincing the reindeer and Santa that their story is not fictional. When the wolves appear, the combined forces are mobilised and ready to win.
