Lithuanian Zoological Gardens

Lithuanian Zoological Gardens – here you will meet many exotic animals. You’ll see tigers, lions, leopards, giraffes, rhinos and two-humped camel. There are also white wolves, foxes, llamas and Lithuanian farm animals such as goats and ponies.

We were fascinated by the education centre and the exotarium, where our children spent more time than in other exhibitions. Here we found not only cosy common areas, educational films, but also themed individual areas with animals. Here you can enter different climate zones where you will come face to face with animals such as turtles, birds and reptiles.

Education Centre also hosts many educational activities. The charismatic educators of the Lithuanian Zoo will be waiting for you in the educational classroom, where you can get acquainted with the educational animals, various exhibits, play educational games, and thus easily and interestingly acquire knowledge about the chosen field.

Do you know you can even celebrate birthday at the Lithuanian Zoo with cildren? We offer birthday education with the rental of an educational classroom, where you can not only take part in a private educational session, but also enjoy your own treats with your guests and watch 2 cheetahs walk by in the window.

The zoo also offers presentations – at specific times (indicated on the information boards) you can hear stories from zoo staff about specific zoo inhabitants, and understand the animals’ habits and hobbies. You will even learn their names and where the animals come from. You can also check the animal presentations schedule on the Lithuanian Zoo website.

The zoo also has several well-maintained and renovated playgrounds.

What made us very happy was that there is now a comfortable and fast lift to the lower level of the zoo where you can see the beautiful giraffes.

Use the zoo map before or during your visit. It will take you a few hours or even longer.
