Jonavos alpakos (Jonava Alpaca farm)

Jonavos alpakos (Jonava Alpaca farm) was established in 2018, near the 2nd pond of Jonava city. Currently, the following alpacas were born and raised on alpaca farm: Arile, Bosas, Celeste, Dobis, Enzo and Fredis.

The animals live and breed only in an environment that is suitable for their nature. It is created not only by the wild but also by the farmers who lived in these areas many years ago. The century-old ecological barn of moistened clay is one of the many unique conditions for the well-being of Jonava alpacas and a refreshment during any time of the year. In summer, the barn is fresh and good to hide from the hot sun. And in winter, it holds warmth and cosiness. Alpacas calmly, dignifiedly and without a haste walk and graze in the vast natural hills and green meadows, surrounded by centuries-old lindens. Many visitors fall in love with our alpacas and say that they are friendly, gentle, curious and very good to be around.

At the foot of the hill, there is the 2nd Jonava pond, next to it – excellent bicycle paths, a children’s playground and the beach of the 3rd Jonava city pond. This oasis of peace can be reached on foot or by bicycle. Guests arriving by car are kindly requested to follow the traffic rules and leave the car in the parking lot (Tvenkinio street or Juodmenos street near the children‘s playground).

Excursions

Many studies reveal that a friendly relationship with an animal helps to relax, reduces stress, depression, anxiety, and has a positive effect on the emotional state. Alpacas, due to their naturally calm behaviour, can be used as an additional aid to specialized therapies for children and adults. Every moment spent in nature surrounded by alpacas is full of unforgettable emotions, a good attitude and brings freshness for your soul.

Unlike many zoos, Jonavos alpakos farm does not have strict requirements to keep away from the fenced animals. Everyone can watch Jonava alpacas for free every day (in good weather) by cycling or walking from Juodmenos street side.

If you want to spend more time with alpacas, feed them (only with special food provided by us), pet them, lead them or just enjoy their company and meditate, registration is mandatory.

Prices

Price for one person for ages of 3 and up € 6.00, children under 3 years – free of charge.

Disabled people are welcome free of charge, as well, after providing a supporting document that shows 0-55% working capacity.

Kindergarten and school groups – € 5.00 per person, accompanying persons may spend time free of charge (one accompanying person per 10 children).

Excursions take place three times a day. During colder weather excursions take place twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. Alpacas feed during those times of the day, so with all due respect to the animals, we must adapt to the rhythm of their lives. It is forbidden to feed our animals with the food that you brought. The excursion guide provides all visitors with free alpaca food. So that you could feed our animals in a fun and safe way, without compromising the health of the alpacas.

Jonavos alpakos (Jonava Alpaca farm) invites you to spend time in the Guest House

The Jonava Alpaca Guest House is a quiet and cosy place located on the famous Jonava Alpaca Farm. Guests can see the alpacas grazing through the windows of the rooms, which makes you relax and forget your everyday worries.

You will find an outdoor barbecue on the terrace next to the alpaca guest house. For those who want to go for a walk, Jonava’s backwaters are surrounded by excellent cycling and hiking trails and children’s playgrounds. During the warm season, holidaymakers are invited to have a great time on the beaches of the town’s ponds.

For extra relaxation, the Guest House offers a private spa area with a whirlpool bath, a dry sauna with Himalayan salt and a Turkish steam bath.

Guests can also take advantage of the bicycle rental service and explore the Jonava countryside. Staying at the Jonava Alpaca Guest House, you will experience a true combination of relaxation and natural beauty.

The campsite and events

Inside of the Jonavos alpakos farm, there is a camping area with a gazebo, a barbeque area and a bonfire. Here you can celebrate children’s birthdays or other occasions, drink tea, have a chat and enjoy the view of the alpaca‘s meadows. After visiting our alpacas, you can swim in the pond, enjoy the sun and spend time by the water during the warm season.

The campsite is especially appreciated by summer day camps. Children can observe alpacas, play various outdoor games, bake their favorite dishes in the barbeque area, and swim in the nearby pond.

The campsite is located inside of the Jonavos alpakos farm, in a private and quiet environment. In order to reserve the campsite for an event, registration is required.
