Ilzenberg Manor

Ilzenberg manor and its park are located in an impressive landscape with two lakes – Ilgis and Apvalas. The historical spaces of the park-museum are intended for the relaxation of guests. This is a preserved and well-kept century-old park with more than 3 km long walking paths and its wild animals. Also, it has artistic park sculptures, the newlyweds’ favorite Love Island and the bridge leading to it. The decoration of the park is Ilzenberg. Ilzenberg is the 500-year-old oak of the Ilzenberg estate, and the Stelmuzuikai are the descendants of the Stelmuze oak.

Ilzenberg manor park-museum could be called Nordic Arcadia. This name has been given to romantic parks for several centuries – this is a landscape full of nostalgia, an idyllic country untouched by the faults of civilization, where man merges with nature. Here, with the help of architectural and natural elements, 9 different emotional spaces are formed. These spaces are called Love, Magnificence, Mysteriousness, Sublimity, Wisdom, Dream, Idyll, Joy and Exaltation.

Sauna

On the edge of the Ilzenberg Park-Museum, on the picturesque shores of Ilgis Lake, the sauna was rebuilt. In 1863 the manor’s sauna was reminiscent of the spirit of rebellion. Its heating room is probably the largest of all not only in Lithuanian, but also in Baltic manors. As many as 25 people can enjoy the pleasures it provides at the same time. The sauna has been evaluated by the most famous professional Lithuanian sauna experts and has been labeled with the “Vantas leaf”.

Animals farm

The entire territory is surrounded by nature of amazing beauty. It is a unique place where even an ordinary walk becomes special. Centennial trees stand in the park, paths wind along the lake. During the summer season, park visitors can get up close and personal with the animals of the estate:

  • Lithuanian black-headed sheep, which were bred in Lithuania in the 20th century, graze near the entrance of the park on summer days.
  • Geese can also be found by the small pond in the park.
  • Rabbits are also munching on lettuce leaves near the House of Crafts, next to the Grill restaurant.
  • The park is home to swarms of little bats. They are not visible during the day, but only thanks to them you will never be tormented by mosquitoes in the park of the Ilzenberg Manor, because they are caught by bats.
  • You can visit our cows and calves on the farms or in the pastures (please do not go inside the farms and enclosures, as this is prohibited by veterinary laws and regulations.)
  • In the aviaries you can see our chickens.

Manorial Corn Maze

Fun educational entertainment for the whole family.

A mysterious journey in the greenery awaits you. This is Ilzenberg’s manorial corn maze, planted in the farm’s fields and covering an area of 1.2 hectares. The labyrinth course is not easy, but it is all the more interesting. It’s good to wander and get lost for a while, to hide from your friends and be startled by the screeching of a bird or the snort of the wind. In the end, the exit opens before our eyes – after successfully escaping from the “green fortress”, we experience the joy of victory. And for those who found the exit sooner and are waiting for their friends, who are still weaving through the maze’s wandering paths, there is a children’s playground with a large climbing structure and the park’s permanent “resident” Jonas Briedizius.

Working hours of the labyrinth: July – October.
