This is the fifth time we have traveled to Thailand with our family, so we have accumulated a lot of experience and know what products work best and help keep skin healthy in various conditions. A vacation cosmetic bag should be thoughtfully prepared to protect the skin from the sun, wind, humidity changes and other challenges that arise during travel.

When traveling with children, we highly recommend having separate cosmetic bags for kids instead of keeping everything in one shared bag. In case of urgent need, it’s much more convenient to find children’s products when they are kept separate from those of adults.

It’s convenient to transfer products from large containers into travel-sized ones, which come in various sizes and shapes. If the textures of the products you use are similar, a helpful tip is to stick labels with the names on the containers.

For example, when we flew from the wintery Lithuania to Thailand. At first, it was cold, and our skin was irritated by the heating and dry air on the plane. Upon landing in Thailand, it suddenly became humid and hot. That very same day, we felt our skin tightening, drying out, and our bodies craving moisture.

Adapt your skincare routine to the destination. If you’re traveling from a cooler climate to warmer regions, we recommend choosing lighter-textured moisturizers that won’t weigh down your skin. They will not only hydrate your skin but also protect it from clogged pores. On the other hand, if you’re flying to colder climates, make sure to use richer moisturizers. These create a protective shield for your skin, helping to shield it from the cold.

Don’t forget water. When changing climate zones, make sure to drink plenty of water during your travels. Staying hydrated helps maintain moisture balance throughout your body, including your skin.
