Looking for ideas for things to do at the weekend? Or maybe it seems like you’ve already tried everything in Lithuania and want to experience something new? Upside down houses in Lithuania is a head-turning activity that we recommend for just such occasions!

If you’re planning to spend the last days of summer being active, travelling around Lithuania, attending events and enjoying the last rays of the sun, add one of these places to your itinerary. Upside down houses in Lithuania is a fun activity that children can enjoy in Anyksciai, Druskininkai, Palanga and Radailiai.

Where can you experience life upside down?

Such a different town in Anyksciai

A small town in a park where the houses are not built according to the rules, in a different way: one upside-down, one crooked, one rotating. In each of them, different sensations await. Be sure to visit if you haven’t already!

A fun activity for young and old alike, where you can only walk on the ceiling, or on an incline! You read that right – it’s ceiling-only or inclined! As soon as you open the door of this house, you will enter a world upside down or tilted or rotating around you, where you will experience unforgettable sensations and take the most fun photos!

For your convenience, the cosy ice cream shop is located in this otherworldly town. Here you will find not only ice creams in a variety of flavours, but also the most delicious desserts that will warm the heart and fill even the most demanding visitor with energy.

When you arrive in Anyksciai, you will find our city guide useful.

Upside down house in Druskininkai

The house in Druskininkai is located in the very centre of the town, on Vilniaus Avenue.

The upside down house in Druskininkai is an unforgettable attraction for big and small alike! You can walk on the ceiling when you visit – just kidding. You won’t have to walk on the ceiling, but you will be able to see things above your head and take lots of original photos. Show your children how to take fun photos – take a picture and turn it over. The kids will really enjoy it.

By the way, you will also feel the force of gravity in the house.

Upside down houses in Palanga

Upside down houses in Palanga is a new entertainment for the whole family, located in the heart of Palanga, at the beginning of Basanavicius street!

You are very welcome to visit the new house in Palanga. You can walk around and see how IKEA can make any home cosy and comfortable. Even those with the roof down and the floor over your head.

Curious about what an upside-down bedroom looks like, or a comfortable sofa in the living room, or solutions for the kitchen and bathroom? Then come and see it for yourself! The house is very nicely furnished, and we’ll all find familiar things we’ve all bought from IKEA.

You will be able to take the most fun photos in the house. Show the children how to take fun photos – take a picture and turn it over. The kids will really enjoy it.

Upside down houses in Radailiai

Upside down houses in Radailiai is a unique rooftop attraction that children will love. In the real-sized house, all the rooms are upside down – a great opportunity to introduce children to physics and the concept of gravity – why in reality a bed is not stuck to the ceiling and does not fly in the air, but just stands on the ground.

Recently, this upside-down house has also introduced another new feature – 3D drawings. I have seen a lot of these when travelling abroad, but they are still quite rare in Lithuania. 3D drawings are mostly used to create optical illusions – I think you’ve seen photos on social media where it looks like a person is standing on the edge of the world. Now you can see and experience it for yourself at the Inverted House.

There is also a huge amusement park right next to the house, read about it in the article Dino Park with kids.
