On World Intellectual Property Day, 26 April, the best registered trademarks for 2023 were announced. The categories were “For Lithuania”, “For Europe” and “For the World”. Nearly 100 trademarks competed in the competition. And were judged by a jury of Lithuanian and foreign experts. We were honoured and delighted that we, Travel 4 kids – the best Lithuanian trademark for Europe, were not only nominated, but also won.
For the first time in Lithuania, the competition “Registered Trademark of 2023” brought together a total of 95 new trademarks that have protected their intellectual property in 2023: they were registered according to Lithuanian national, European Union or international procedures.
The nominees include 17 trademarks from a wide range of sectors: food, social initiatives, technology, events, fashion, medicine and health.
“Every year, around 2,000 new trademarks are registered in Lithuania, representing not only specific services and goods, but also our country. Registered and protected trademarks help to develop businesses and become a way to present new products, ideas and projects. With this contest we wanted to remind that only with registered trademarks can one be confident in creating their own success stories, knowing that intellectual property is protected”, says Irina Urbonė, Director of the State Patent Bureau, which initiated the contest.
Out of the 6 brands selected by the jury in the “For Europe” category, Travel 4 Kids won first place. It is the English version of a Lithuanian blog about simple and fun travelling with kids.

The best Lithuanian brands
The best registered trademark of the Year for Lithuania was Auganti Šeima. This trademark represents the Lithuanian parenting community and club, specialist training and social initiatives.
Joao Negrao, ESINT’s Executive Director, presented the award “Registered Trademark of the Year 2023 for Europe” to the winner Travel 4 Kids, which promotes Lithuanian business in the EU.
Two brands competed in the final round of the “For the World” nomination. The winner was IPRoyal, which provides IP address leasing and sales services in all corners of the world.
Winners of special nominations
The competition also selected the winners of the special nominations.
The Environmental Protection Agency’s trademark was awarded the “Most Prominent” and “Most Innovative” nominations.
The “Most Lithuanian Word” was the trademark “Margas miškas”, representing innovative handmade wooden outdoor and board games.
The winner of the “Best Design” was “Hila”, a medical diagnostics and treatment centre.
The “Business Favourite” was “Monist”, which represents a hotel located in Palanga.
