The Zoo of Latgala

The Zoo of Latgala. In the center of the historic city is a small tropical oasis, home to a variety of exotic and local animals. Monkeys, meerkats, iguanas, ostriches, turtles, scorpions, colorful carp, tropical ants live in the artificially created jungle. In the zoo, you will also meet many other tropical and natural inhabitants of Latvia.

In the Latgala zoo, you can visit the farm of wild mice. A real hobbit house for insects and spiders and a European rabbit town where children can pet the zoo’s little rabbits and explore their behaviour.
