Palanga with children

Palanga with kids is an annual tradition for us. We try to spend at least one weekend in Palanga in summer. And for more than 5 years now, we have been choosing Melt in Palanga, located next to Palanga Summer Park. For us, it is the best place in Palanga with everything you need for a family holiday – comfortable accommodation, an amusement park and delicious food. And all this in the very center of Palanga, by the bridge. And most importantly, at a very good price. If you haven’t been here before, make sure you read this article and plan your weekend or holiday here.

Palanga with children

We often are making joke that Palanga with children is our “Farewell to Palanga”, it feels like home, everything is very familiar and close, so it’s very nice. And the love for Melt in Palanga comes from the fact that everything is very comfortable, family friendly, lots of activities for the kids. And most importantly, it’s at a really very good price compared to the quality of the service and the many free things that Melt in Palanga offers to its guests. Just like Turkish hotels have all-inclusive meals and entertainment, Melt in Palanga has all-inclusive entertainment.

For Motiejus, Palanga is always associated with long bike rides, the sea and the largest open-air trampoline park in Lithuania – Palanga Summer Park, which is FREE and UNLIMITED for children staying at Melt in Palanga. Can you imagine how much money you can save, because You don’t have to pay for entertainment of children and can have as much fun as they want. And the free children’s activities are just a small part of what guests staying at Melt in Palanga get.

The best things to do with children in Palanga are our impressions from last year’s Melt in Palanga and Palanga Summer Park.

“Melt in Palanga is located in the best location in Palanga – Basanavicius Street, right next to the Palanga Bridge, so all of Palanga’s most important attractions are easily accessible even with small children. And most importantly, if you arrive by car, you never have to worry, as parking at the hotel is free. The hotel is new, the rooms are tidy, so it’s a nice place to stay with children. Why we like Melt in Palanga so much

Melt has a children’s play corner designed with the wonderful idea of sustainability – all the toys here have been brought in by the staff themselves or left behind by previous guests! Here they come to life again and delight visiting children.

Melt has a great Van Wurst snack bar in the courtyard, so you don’t have to wonder where to find food when you get hungry. And dessert lovers will find some of Palanga’s tastiest doughnuts.

The fun part is that right next to the hotel is the Palanga Summer Park – an absolutely wonderful place to go with children. Everything is so close that you can order a coffee as soon as you leave your room and watch your kids jump on the largest trampoline in Lithuania or explore other attractions in peace.

Melt in Palanga offers free mini-golf for adults and free trampolines, a Ninja Warrior obstacle course and a labyrinth game room for the little ones.

Palanga Summer Park is renewed every year, so if you were here last year, you’ll find something new this year.

Resort Activities offers a two-hour city bike ride for the whole family. Again, can you think how much money you are saving?

And the best part – Melt in Palanga treats its guests to free ice cream too.

Although it doesn’t bother us at all, Melt in Palanga is not suitable for those families whose children can’t sleep with even a little noise, because Basanavičius Street is busy and the music doesn’t stop at 9pm. However, if your children are falling asleep like leaves after a day’s entertainment and don’t care about extraneous noises, then feel free to choose Melt in Palanga.

Could it get any more fun? Free entertainment, free ice cream, free trampolines for kids, free bicycles?

Palanga Summer Park

Palanga Summer Park is not only the largest trampoline park in Lithuania. Here you can go go-karting, rope climbing, and the Ninja Warrior obstacle course, where you can test your strength and compete against each other. There is also a mini-golf course consisting of 18 holes. Kids will also love the chance to try on VR goggles!

And for the little ones, there are plenty of activities – a fun maze, a children’s carousel and electric cars.

It’s really great to see that not only the children’s entertainment has been thought of, but also that the parents have been taken care of, with plenty of seating where they can wait quietly while their children are entertained.

Where to eat and drink in Palanga with children

Famous donuts of Palanga

Palanga doughnuts are probably the tastiest doughnuts in the world. Only churros in Spain could compete with them! If you haven’t tried these doughnuts yet, make sure you try them this summer! They are suitable for children because the dough is always made fresh right here, using only natural ingredients and real cottage cheese, without any additives. You will find the cottage cheese doughnuts at Basanavicius str. 43 Van Wurst. These cones can be found at various town festivals and fairs. They have become really well-known, so even at town fiestas, people are looking for these Palanga doughnuts.

If you order them, you will get them warm! And that’s exactly what they taste like!

Van Wurst – the friendship between Belgian potatoes and German sausages

Staying in Melt in Palanga and having fun in Palanga Summer Park is close to everything! If you want to treat yourself on holiday and reminisce about the delicious food of your travels, head to Van Wurst. Van Wurst is the most delicious Belgian fries and German sausages! Many people think that Van Wurst is just a fast food place, but the truth is that Van Wurst is one of the closest places to the Palanga Bridge where you can sit down for a tasty and filling meal, because the portions are really big! And the food is really tasty!

Fun ideas for trips with kids in Palanga

You all know that parking and traffic are difficult in Palanga, so we recommend you try bicycles, velomobiles or the Palanga Train!

As a reminder, if you stay at Melt in Palanga you get a two-hour voucher for a FREE bicycle ride. So if you stay overnight, you can save a lot of money at the same time – rental bikes cost 4-6 euros per hour.

VeloBicycles are particularly convenient for travelling with children, as they can comfortably accommodate the whole family and take you around the city.

The resorts’ attractions rent both bicycles and bicycles. You can find bikes for children, bikes with child seats and bikes with trailers for babies.
