Madrid Bernabéu Stadium: tour with kids

If you’re traveling to Madrid with your family, a visit to the famous Santiago Bernabéu Stadium can be one of the most memorable experiences for both adults and kids. This place is not only a paradise for football fans, but also an exciting attraction for everyone who wants to get to know the world of sports up close. It was our Oskaras dream and we made it come true – all we had to do was plan a flight from Lithuania to Tenerife with a longer layover in Madrid.

During our trip to Valencia, Oskaras had the chance to experience what it feels like to cheer for his favorite football team in a big city surrounded by passionate Spanish fans. On June 1, 2024, at London’s Wembley Stadium, Real Madrid claimed their 15th UEFA Champions League title, defeating Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the final. Madrid Bernabéu Stadium: tour with kids, was our very clear plan when we returned from our vacation in Lithuania.

The “Tour Bernabéu” is a guided visit to the legendary Real Madrid stadium, one of the most iconic venues in the football world. Here, you’ll not only see the spaces where thrilling football battles unfold but also learn about the club’s history, admire an impressive trophy collection, and take a walk through the stadium itself.

The museum with its trophy collection is the perfect spot to delve into the club’s victory-filled history. You’ll see Champions League trophies and other significant awards. Here, kids will see the players’ clothing and take pictures next to the “moving virtual players” in the interactive zone.

Interactive areas for children – they will love the area above where there are also games and interactive activities.

The tour is independent – each visitor travels at his own pace. It is only important to follow the sequence and directions.

Tickets

Buy tickets in advance. During our visit, the cash registers were not even open, everyone bought online and only then could enter.

We offer pre-purchase in our partner system. Admission is free for children up to and including 4 years old, and discounts apply for children up to 13 years old.

Practical tips

  • Opening hours: Tours are available throughout the week, except on match days. Be sure to check the schedule before your visit. Dress comfortably. You’ll spend several hours at the stadium, so make sure the kids are dressed for comfort.
  • Inside you will find a WC and a cafe, but you can also carry water and snacks in a backpack.
  • Photography: Don’t forget your camera or phone – there will be plenty of moments worth capturing. There are no restrictions on taking photos.
  • You will leave the stadium through the shop, where you will find various souvenirs, sportswear, balls.

During one day in Madrid, we also managed to visit the small but unique Sweet Space museum.
