Illusion Museum in Tenerife is located in the island’s capital, Santa Cruz, in a former tobacco factory. The museum opened its doors just a few weeks ago. Illusion Museum in Tenerife is a family-friendly 700 m2 space where illusions meet scientific inventions and art: physics and optics are displayed alongside mysterious works of art and classical riddles. Interactive activities such as drawing with light, shadow-making and unforgettable moments in an upside-down world enrich the exceptional educational experience.

Not sure how one or another invention works? Want to hear incredible stories about art and history? Want to deepen your knowledge of science or take photos? The Museum team is always nearby! Smiling assistants are ready to reveal the secrets of the incredible world of illusions.

The permanent exhibition is slowly changing: the collection will be expanded with new exhibits.

Opening hours:

• Monday – Friday: 10:00 – 19:00 (last entry 18:00)
• Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 – 20:00 (last entry 19:00)

Entrance prices:

• Adults: 17 € / Residents: 15 €
• Students, school children and seniors: 13 € / Residents: 12 €
• Pre-school children (3-6 years): 5 € / Residents: 4 €
• Family ticket (2 adults + 2 children): 49 € / Residents: 43 €
• Children under 3 years: free

Group Visits – for groups of more than 10 people, pre-registration is required. The museum offers a guided tour for groups at no extra charge, which lasts approximately 60 minutes.

We visited with our children on a Friday evening – it took us about an hour.

Our tip: the museum is located in the centre of Santa Cruz, so if you can’t find a parking space on the street, we recommend parking at the nearby Centro Comercial Parque Bulevar shopping centre. The Garcia Sanabria Park is also nearby and we recommend visiting it.

The museum has a souvenir shop.

There is also a toilet.

This museum is accessible for disabled people, with lifts and special access points for easy access to its services. There will be a 50% discount on entrance tickets for disabled people, and free entrance for the person accompanying them.

It is also very convenient that there are lockable lockers so that you do not have to walk around with backpacks or bags.
