We recently visited one of Lithuania’s most exciting places – Dino Park. We spent more than half a day there, and the kids tried probably all the attractions. So we’re sharing with you some of the fun things to do, see, taste and even learn. Dino Park with children is a must-visit if your destination is Klaipeda with children. Or if you’re on a holiday by the sea. But we suggest you even come here specifically to have fun.

Dino Park with children

Every year, the largest Dinosaur Park in the Baltic States opens its doors to visitors in Radailiai, Klaipeda region, after winter. All the park’s attractions are included in the ticket price. And there is no limit to the time you can visit, so you can wander around all day. It’s not the first year we’ve been here, and every time we’re surprised to discover something new. First of all, we have found as many as 50 life-size dinosaurs in the vast area. A seradactyl, a spinosaurus, a brachiosaurus, a vulcanodontium and many more. Who would have thought that we would ever get to see these long-extinct animals.

Atractions at Dino Park

Right at the entrance you will find the first attractions. 360-degree rotating cars, trains, a 5D cinema, a mirror maze. A carousel, a playground and an area where children can ride bicycles.

Further on, beyond the river, there’s a fun obstacle course in the trees, a musical instrument area and a mini zoo. It is home to rabbits and llamas that you can feed and pet.

There is also a dwarf town by the stream, a shooting range, water bikes. And if you get tired, you can lie down in hammocks.

And that’s not all! The last area of the park also has mini-water bikes and another playground. trampolines and a bouncy hill where you can slide down on a large tyre. As well as football and volleyball areas. It’s great to see that there are activities for children of all ages throughout the park. So there was something for everyone to do.

Food at Dino Park

If you’re hungry, you can eat at the pizzeria, the grill café or enjoy a cold dessert at the Dino Park ice cream parlour. What’s great is that Dino Park cares about the environment, so eating locally is encouraged and all takeaway containers are plastic-free. By the way, at the entrance to the park there is the beautiful Radailiai Manor, where you can have a delicious meal, stay overnight or relax in the spa.

And the really fun part is that you pay the entrance fee and you can have unlimited fun. No more paying for any more entertainment.

In our experience, we can definitely recommend. It’s a great idea for a family weekend or a short trip that will not only bring lots of fun for the kids, but also a moment of respite for the parents!

In the Radailiai complex, after an exciting day in the DINO Park, you can stay in the cosy Radailiai Manor apartments. That are next to the park and relax in the Radailiai Spa! This is especially convenient when travelling with small children. Because they get tired quickly and don’t really want to keep going from one place to another.

This option is also SUPER convenient if you’re travelling with older children and a baby. For example – while the older ones are exploring dinosaurs or riding the turbo cars, you can change, feed and soothe the baby in the apartment, and in the evening the whole family, or in shifts, will be able to relax in the excellent spa with its saunas, swimming pools and jacuzzi.

It’s also great for all weathers, even at the beginning or end of the season, with many activities available all day and a Jacuzzi to soak up the heat in the evenings.

Dino Park with children – education and excursions

If you don’t want to walk around the park on your own, you can book an educational tour to learn historical, scientific and archaeological facts about dinosaurs.

There is also a good selection of educational activities. Not only do they gain useful knowledge about the prehistoric world, unearth and study dinosaur fossils, get to know nature and animals up close, and get in touch with Lithuanian traditions, but they also get to try their hand at interesting tasks. If your children are real computer and phone geeks, they will also be in for a surprise. The educational programme “Prehistory, Dinosaurs and Me (Google Generation)” will engage pupils in a search for hidden codes using only their mobile phone: a smartphone app and GPS connection.

The biggest benefit of the educational activities is that students spend more time in nature and engage in useful activities. Here they relax, socialise with friends, develop their creativity, imagination, critical thinking and learn to work as a team. Their experiences inspire them to take more interest in different professions and sciences: history, physics, chemistry, mathematics, geography, nature and even literature. After the educational activities, the children take home unforgettable impressions and masterpieces created with their own hands.
