It’s nice to know that there are several pumptracks in Vilnius and near Vilnius. Never heard the word before? Pumptracks are so-called multi-purpose cycling tracks (‘hills’) that are suitable for cycling, riding a scooter, rollerblading or skateboarding. Bicycle tracks and pumptracks in Vilnius have the unique feature of being suitable for everyone, unlike similar skateparks. Everyone can start riding on a pumptrack, from any ability level, with any vehicle. 

  You can come here if your child or you ride a bike, skateboard, rollerblades or scooter. Don’t be scared, the bike trails are popular with beginners, advanced riders or teenagers who are already riding well. You’ll see lots of small children too, so don’t worry – you can ride with three-year-olds too. Just don’t forget your helmet and safety equipment. It’s great to see that many of the bicycle tracks have playgrounds and leisure areas. So take your vehicles and get active with your children.

Five years ago, the first bicycle track (Pumptrack) in Lithuania was installed in Balsiai, a play and leisure space in Vilnius, next to the IKI ŽALI shopping centre.

The “ŽALI” Pumptrack consists of two parts: a small track for primary school children (33 m long, 134 m²), located right next to the children’s playground, and a large track for wheeled vehicle enthusiasts of all ages and abilities. The big track is 222 m long and covers 600 m² of pavement.

There is also a great soft play area next to the bicycle track, so even the smallest siblings will have something to do. 

Huge Nemencine pumptrack, playground and skate park 

This leisure and sports area in Nemencine, Vilnius is, in our opinion, the best in the city. It has a playground, a bicycle track, a skate park and a sports complex all in one place. 

This pumptrack is probably the biggest in Vilnius. Motiejus simply adores this place. If we come here, it’s for a long time. The track is huge – you can easily ride here with a grown-up bicycle, not to mention the space for children with all their vehicles.

Riding and leisure space in Vilnius

There is also a skate park. The leisure area includes a small sports complex. You can play basketball and other games. The sports complex is fenced, large. There are also fitness equipment nearby. The whole environment is very tidy, even though this is not the first year this space has been open. There is also a stroller available, and there is a Toi Toi toilet nearby. It is very convenient that there is also lighting, so you can go for rides, play and exercise after dark. This is especially important in autumn when it gets dark early.

There is a very nice and interesting soft-surfaced playground nearby.

Lentvaris bicycle track 

Although not the biggest, it has very interesting terrain. It is located in a very beautiful place, in Lentvaris by the lake. There are landscaped areas for walks nearby. Large playground, food truck. You can come with children by train, as the bicycle track is right next to the railway station.
