Oskaras from “Travel 4 kids®” recently celebrated his 9th birthday. And as always, we were looking for an original idea for his birthday. This time we chose to celebrate the real birthday date with the family, and not just anywhere, but at the Tagoro Family & Fun Hotel in Tenerife, which offers all-inclusive services and is a great choice for families with childen. We also managed to book a special room for children. As you know, our children love to try out different hotels, so this hotel in Tenerife is another one for our list.

Location and accommodation
The all-inclusive Tagoro Family & Fun Hotel in Tenerife is particularly suitable with children. Located in Costa Adeje, in a quiet part of Tenerife, it is ideal for families who want to escape from the daily hustle and bustle of the city. The hotel is just a 20-minute drive from the airport and the nearest beaches are within walking distance. However, the walk back from the beach will not be as pleasant, as you will have to climb uphill.
The X-SUR Shopping Centre is right next to the hotel, where you will find not only many shops and restaurants, but also a cinema and a games room.

Rooms
The hotel offers a variety of room types, including spacious family rooms and suites with kitchenettes, which are particularly convenient for longer stays with children. They are equipped with all basic amenities, including air conditioning and a TV.
This time, we chose a special Merlin Kids room. Separate room for kids, playstation room, jacuzzi on the terrace. It was a surprise for Oskaras birthday and it worked!
Not to be all on the positive side. We think the rooms have to be renovated. Also, not all Merlin Kids rooms are furnished in the same way, so they don’t match the photos when booking.

“Tagoro Family & Fun Hotel” offers an all-inclusive meal service. This service includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and drinks at the pool bar. The restaurant offers a buffet-style meal with a wide range of starters, hot dishes and desserts. You’re sure to find something suitable for children. We liked the grilled dishes and the paella. For families with children, there is a children’s menu and high chairs.
The hotel is not luxurious, rather child-friendly – so you won’t find themed restaurants or high level gourmet meals, but the food is fresh and the choice is really good.

Entertainment and activities
One of the great things about Tagoro Family & Fun is the variety of entertainment and activities. The hotel has a Kids’ Club, which is designed to meet the needs and interests of children of all ages. Art workshops, sports tournaments and themed evenings ensure that young guests never feel bored. And of course, there are evening children’s discos!
However, the club is geared towards younger children – I would say up to 6-7 years old – so our kids preferred the water activities in the pools and family time.
There are three pools. One big one, which is also used for various attractions, games and exercises. There is a separate pool for children, with slides. Next to it is a small pool for families.
Adult guests can take part in yoga and aerobics classes, enjoy spa treatments or simply relax by one of the hotel’s several pools. Live music performances and shows are also held in the evenings.

“The Tagoro Family & Fun” team is well regarded for its friendliness and professionalism. Guest reviews often highlight the high level of service, cleanliness and attention to families with children. Other facilities include a car rental desk, a tourist information centre and free Wi-Fi. Free parking is available outside the hotel.
You can already tell that the hotel is designed for families with children from the online check-in form. You will be asked in advance whether you will need a babysitting service, a baby stroller or whether you will be celebrating a special occasion at the hotel.
We of course took advantage of this – the hotel was happy to provide a birthday cake for our birthday boy and even gave us a gift from themselves!
And when we complained about the air-conditioning after the first night, which left a puddle after the night – the technicians fixed it within hours. Honestly, I really didn’t expect such promptness.
