Grand SPA Lietuva with children is one of the finest hotels in Lithuania. But Grand SPA Lietuva is not just a hotel with a great stay. It is also one of the largest wellness and recreation complexes in Lithuania, consisting of SPA and a health resort. It’s also a huge water park with restaurants, games and leisure areas. We often choose the Grand SPA Lietuva for our holidays in Lithuania, and when we arrive in Druskininkai it is one of our favorite places to stay. Grand SPA Lietuva with children

Why is Grand SPA Lietuva with children the perfect choice and why do we have so many compliments for this complex? Because in our opinion it is one of the best suited for holidays with children. And only one of only two hotels in Lithuania that have water parks. Grand SPA Lietuva is a huge water park with swimming pools, rushing mountain rivers, waterfalls and a spectacular slide that will thrill children of all ages.

For us, this water park is one of the best because it has a lot of activities, very warm water and environment, and there are activities for toddlers and older children. In addition to the pools, there is also a sauna complex, which, by the way, we really like. The Grand SPA Lietuva complex also has a spa, where parents can try the beneficial properties of the mineral water and the healing peat mud extracted directly from the borehole and enjoy therapeutic treatments.

Grand SPA Lietuva SPA has treatment programmes specifically for young guests. They are designed for children and young people aged 4 to 14 years. These programmes are aimed at correcting children’s faulty posture, flat feet and respiratory problems.

Children playrooms

On the 1st floor of Hotel Lietuva, next to the Lobby Bar, there is a children’s playroom, which is free of charge for all the hotel’s young guests. Our children also love the ball jacuzzi.

There are also playgrounds next to the hotel, and a little further away is the wonderful “O kas cia” amusement park. There’s also a gym, tennis courts, a panoramic restaurant and free parking. Accommodation in Grand SPA Lietuva with children

Grand SPA Lietuva accommodation with children is tailored to the needs of families.

The Grand SPA Lietuva complex has three different hotels to suit the individual needs of families and to suit budgets and preferences:

• modern hotel “Lietuva” (3*)
• modern hotel “Druskininkai” (4*)
• apartment hotel “Dzukija” (4*).

We mostly stay at the Hotel Lietuva (3*). We choose a mini-suite with a double sofa bed. We like the fact that these rooms are very spacious, have large wardrobes for storing things and, most importantly, a fridge in the room. This is a big plus for us when travelling with children, as we can bring fruit, milk and snacks for the kids.

If you have a larger family and like to cook or prepare food for the little ones on holiday, we highly recommend the apartment hotel Dzukija. Hotel Dzukija has luxurious one- and two-bedroom apartments with a fully equipped kitchenette, a cosy living room, a bathroom and a terrace. The advantage of this Dzukija hotel is that you have a very large apartment with a kitchenette.

But when staying here you have to take into account that this hotel, unlike Druskininkai or Lietuva, is not connected by corridors to the water park and the spa block of the complex. You have to walk through a courtyard in order to get to the water park. Of course, this is not a problem in the summer, but in the winter it can be an inconvenience, as you will need to change completely after the water park to return to the hotel after swimming with your children.

All Grand SPA Lietuva hotels provide bathrobes, even for children, slippers and essential toiletries. If you come with pets, you can stay in the Druskininkai Hotel or the Dzukija Apartment Hotel.

Grand SPA Lietuva Aqua Park with children

Grand SPA Lietuva Water Park is truly remarkable. We love it for many reasons. For us, a very big advantage is that if you stay in any Grand SPA Lietuva hotel, you have unlimited access to the water park. So you can entertain your children as much as you want. This is a great advantage for us because our children love swimming, so we use the water park after breakfast, during the day and even before bed in the evening.

Grand SPA Lietuva water park is huge. And it’s great to see that even though it’s not new, it’s very neat and well maintained. It’s often the case that hotels have swimming pools, but if they are neglected and untidy, Grand SPA Lietuva water park looks like it was built a few years ago. And the biggest advantage is that the environment of such a large water park is very warm, and the water, even in the non-children’s pools, is really really warm. So you can safely visit with babies or younger children.

The water park has steam, outdoor, infrared, Finnish, Hammam and ice rooms. In summer, there is an outdoor seating area. There is also a quiet lounge area where we were able to put our toddler to sleep for lunch. There is also a snack bar. Indeed, the water park is ideal for families. By the way, Grand SPA Lietuva Water Park is not only for hotel guests, but also for non-hotel guests.

Fun in the water park

The water park has a long swimming pool, a wave pool, a mountain river, jacuzzis, a mountain river and a children’s pool. And most importantly a waterslide for children and adults. The big slide is one of the most fun slides in Lithuania, as it is dark, but with lots of lights and lights, while the other slide is for families, which can be used independently by bigger children or by toddlers with their parents. There is also a natural mineral water pool, where you can take a leisurely swim or try individual vertical bath treatments.

It’s great that the paddling pool also has fun toys – floating lego-like pieces. There’s also a playground for toddlers next to the water park. It’s nice that the little details have been thought of, such as a whirlpool next to the toddler pool, so you can comfortably watch the children playing.

Amusement park “O kas cia” (“What is that”)

“O kas cia” is an entertainment space of more than 1000 sq. m., belonging to Grand SPA Lietuva, but located a little further away from the complex. However, the amusement park is easily accessible on foot from the hotel with children. The “What’s on here” amusement park is located next to Vijūnėlė Manor.

The amusement park also accepts single visitors and is ideal for celebrations or birthdays. In fact, even Vilnius or Kaunas could envy such an impressive and playful room.

The amusement park is divided into themed areas – a beach and lifeguard station, a hospital, a beauty parlour, a fire station, where children can try out professions and dress up in costumes. In addition to these themed areas, there are slides, trampolines, climbing frames, various machines, ball pools, and even a space for babies.

The park is very versatile – suitable for children from the very young to the very old. It’s great to have a café and seating for parents to watch their children play in peace.

For us, a big advantage when you come for a holiday is the free parking, so you never have to worry about where to park your car. The breakfast buffet is also very complimentary. It is packed with healthy options for younger children – several types of porridge, lots of vegetables and fruit. There are plenty of highchairs everywhere in the restaurants. For older children, the breakfast menu offers a great activity – baking bubble waffles or heart form pancakes.

When you arrive, be sure to visit the panoramic Four Winds Restaurant. The restaurant’s terrace offers a perfect panorama of Druskininkai town.
